Pack your bags and immigrate. Though I will probably never see that happening, cause my country will never risk something like that.

Now.

Scenario is enacted, the temporary ban goes into place,Electronics sales drops, and America loses a large chunk of income. Games go for free online, and people take up smoking/something else to overcome their annoyances. The loss of Technological Revenue causes several major technology makers (Like Sony,Microsoft,Ect.) to begin rapidly losing funds. Deaththreats sent, the bill comes permanent.

...Wrong move...

All games are being outlawwed(according to the title) so no more games beyond flash, antipropoganda saying megaman eats babies. All game aquisition goes online and leads to massive download increase. Video Games replace Music as most pirated online product, and the short budget increases for cyber crimes. America dug a hole deep, loss of jobs, revenue, and angry citizens. The man held responsible is scorned,as the bored accountants slowly go mad with bored, and during work, carry the one TOO far, bank fraud is suspected, massive bailouts handed out, unless the law is removed, and the signers of said bill refuse to overturn. All goes down slope.

After all this, not even foresight like mine knows.

You mean to tell me that I WON'T be able to spend hours of my life defending Halo from haters on the web?
Or that instead of drooling over Ashley Williams in Mass Effect I may actually have to go out and.... meet real women like, the kind made up of flesh and blood?
That instead of perfectly rendered simulated experiences, I might have to go out and experience the real world?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Okay seriously, I would be pissed off at first that I couldn't play certain games. But at the same time it would give me so much extra time to work, read and socialize. Plus I barely get the time to game anyway so I probably wouldn't notice.
At the end of the day, I think I would be able to cope. It would make me very, very mad but overall I would be able to adjust.
Just so long as the lack of video games means we in Australia get good movies like Splice and Daybreakers and Inception earlier than we do currently.

It's been a little over two hundred years since our revolution, so why not do it again? Lead the Era... of the Game.

Nah, in all kidding aside, if video gaming went away in America, the outcry would be shocking, and none of the politicians who voted for it to be gone would likely be voted for again, or receive "friendly" remarks from the common citizen. Heck, I bet a few would be shot from a couple of gamers that go crazy from the lack of their game. I'm betting it'll most likely be a WoW Gamer who does that :p
I mean, considering that some 190 million people play games in the US, it'd be pretty hard to get away with that.

Move, along with the UK games companies, and see how they feel when just about the only industry still making money in this country disappears because parents would rather have the government do the parenting.

Surely with about 40% of the country now playing games in some form tho, it's gonna be a tough call to pass something like this? Except that all it will take is a concentrated campaign by the papers, stating that videogames attract immigrants, increase house prices and caused both swine flu and MRSA. Oh and Bomberman is a terrorist training exercise.

Also, try putting a filter on UK internet that blocks multiplayer, and especially, Blizzard.

See how long before there's people going insane with guns. :D

Seriously tho, screw em, they can take my mouse from my cold, dead fingers.

(lol, never thought I'd have anything in common with the NRA, tho I also like their solutions. Whats the answer to games causing problems? 'Well, if more people had games, then everyone would be safer!')

Probably become a pirate if the internet is not banned as well, as I cannot move out. And now that I think about it, there is a possibility of getting games banned in Mexico...

You people post such weak-willed answers! Let's rebel! The Shooter addicts will provide firepower with RTS-fans commanding the troops from on high! Stealth fans will do the assassinations, hack-and-slash fans will have a sword to decimate their enemies! Choice-RPG fans will decide the right decisions during moral situations! Programmers, modders and hackers will hack every computer!

THEY SHALL FEAR THE GAMER!!!
This post just made my day, and as an RTS Gamer I would help LEAD US TO VICTORY! And if we didn't I would press my imaginary restart level button until we did.
