Isn't Punisher too Dark, Gritty, Edgy and Violant for the colorful, fun, humorous, and quippy MCU :p
Someone hasn't been watching the MCU's Netflix series. If there's words I'd not use to descripe the three seasons across two series we've seen so far, it's "Colourful", "Fun", "Humorous" and "Quippy".
Is it the reverse with the DC Flash and Supergirl shows?
Pretty much. They're R rated series for a reason, lot of violence in Daredevil and serious themes in both we've seen so far. Also sex.

Basically there's a reason why many consider the Punisher's appearance in season 2 of Daredevil to be the greatest live action iteration of the character so far.

This should be good. The worst thing about Daredevil was always Daredevil. Now we can get into someone more interesting. I haven't finished season 2 yet, but I would love to see more punisher and kingpin.

Maybe we can have a spinoff series where the punisher dates Electra and becomes best friends with kingpin, and then daredevil gets hit by a car crossing the street.

Universal also owns the rights to solo Hulk movies, which is why there hasn't been a solo Hulk movie in a while.
Actually it's more complicated. They don't own the rights to the character. Just to distribute his films. The first two MCU movies while in house for Marvel still required 3rd party distributors. Paramount for Ironman and Universal for the Hulk. They wrangled it back from paramount but not universal.

Basically Marvel can't make a Hulk standalone without Universal to release it. But universal can't go and make a Hulk movie either.

Lucky for us Disney's mandate for Marvel is just for two theatrical movies for distribution each year, with anything else being at their discretion. That's why the Sony deal was allowed in the first place, though it's starting the new trend of there being 3 MCU movies each year instead of 2.

The general consensus from what I've heard is that The Punisher is one of the best things about the Daredevil series thus-far, so hopefully this turns out well.

I couldn't care less about Marvel stuff, but that needs to happen, preferably as an moe-style anime.

If so, does Marvel have the rights to Ghost Rider now, or some other studio has them? The first two Ghost Rider movies had some good action but the rest felt off. Hell, are Marvel ready to introduce the Devil or a form of him.
Man, if they bring in Ghost Rider, I'm gonna flip, in a good way.
