Sometimes I hear a song that I just can't get enough of, so I don't ever take it off repeat for a couple of days. Usually this song is an instrumental and/or from a game, but I've even done it with Diamond Eyes and Haunt Me.

Currently the song that's eating away at me is from Valkyrie Profile... called Behave Irrationally.

So, does anyone else do this? Or am I the only one who can and will listen to the same song over and over and over.

I do it.

Though often it'll start with, say, one song on an album then I'll listen to a few more of them more intently than I first did and start rotating between two or three that I listen to constantly.

I'm actually doing that right now, truth be told.

I do not and you're weird!

Alright, you're probably not weird but this is not something I do. Well...on second thought, I kind of do this but I do this with full albums. For whatever reason, I can't stand purchasing just singles so I have the full CD's of each song. Sometimes that works out well for me (funny enough, Nickelback CD's a lot of the times for the stuff I really like usually doesn't get singled like "Lullaby")[footnote]
[/footnote] and other times it fails miserably as the single is the only thing I like.

Currently, I am abusing the hell out of an older CD that I just picked up; Linkin Park's "Meteora". For whatever reason, one CD just gets it's hooks into me and I play it until I get bored (about three weeks later) and either gravitate toward another CD I already have or I pick up something new.

Oh yeah, all the time.

At the moment it's this one...

...which is weird for me because I can't stand Journey, but it's so awesome. :D

I have a few game OSTs on permanent repeat whenever i'm not playing a story heavy game like LoL and Fallout:NV

It never gets old. Player 2 or AFK.

"Makoto Style... Supeeerrr... Duupeerrrrrr... Iron Fist OF JUSTICE!"

^same as above
[sub][sub][sub]Dat bass[/sub][/sub][/sub]

Wisdom of the Divines confirmed as the swaggiest super in the game.

Because the Katawa Shoujo OST is sublime. I tried to put Hanako's song on repeat once. Had an overdose of Feels after the second and a half run and had to stop.

I feel you OP. I can't stop listening to Moonsong, Last Battle and Running Hell from Cave Story. I'd never know that chip tunes would be so addictive... They're good music too, so check them out on YouTube (can't access it right now, and look for the original chip tune versions).

I prefer listening through an entire album, but sometimes I'll throw on the repeat if a song ever feels deserving! It's also mostly real moody or feely songs.

When I am depressed, I listen to Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water. At one point, I had it running on repeat 24 hours a day for close to a month. Not sure why, but that is my "depressed" song.

Shit no, you aren't the only one. Right now, I've been blasting the ME3 theme song for the past week, actually.

I try to avoid listening to one song constantly, so that I don't start to hate it, but this is just brilliant. The video's well worth watching too, but it may well stop working soon because Victory Records are bastards.

Oh definitely! For example, I listened to this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8RaPexRqr8] song on repeat for over an hour once. It's so damn cheerful.

I do this whenever I discover some new awesome OST. It happened with Persona 3 OST, Persona 4 OST, and lately with Ace Combat Assault Horizon OST.

I've done it from time to time, and I usually end up regretting it.

Sometimes a song is so instantly catchy that I just want to keep hearing it over and over, which just erodes that nice feeling you get listening to the song, until finally it's just another good song.

Like, I'll still like listening to it, but the whole time I'm thinking "eh, why isn't it blowing me away like when I first heard it?"

Nope, it ruins songs for me.
To this day I cannot listen to System of a Downs "Prison Song", even though I enjoy it, because I probably listened to it close to 30 times in one day.

I pace myself with music, otherwise it almost ceases to be music.

Got one right now!
I've been listening to it for about a week straight, now it's my number one Itunes song.

I do that a lot. Especially with songs that I just discovered and find very catchy and fun to listen to or sing. However, sometimes I do get to a point where I'll listen to it so much that I get sick of it and don't want to hear it for a while. This only happens in extreme cases when I have a song on repeat for an entire day, lol.

If it's an "internet sensation" song that quickly annoys the shit out of people, than it qualifies. It's proof of my sadism. The Macarena, that song from Titanic, Tanuk Tanuk Tun, Gagnam Style, Dragostea Din Tae, Caramelldansen, Party Rock Anthem, Vicinity of Obscenity...I never got sick of listening to them, but they way they annoy people makes them extra fun.

My big thing now is Chiptunes.
