As I explained in my thread last year, as a socially stunted man-child I still write a Christmas list every year because I figure if people insist on buying me gifts they may as well get me the stuff I want.

It's also a good chance to get a brief feel for games I'm still undecided on, and discuss your favourites this year, so without further ado, this is what I have so far:

PS3
Assassin?s Creed 3
Max Payne 3
Darksiders II
Dishonoured
Asura?s Wrath
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
NeverDead

Unsure About
Resident Evil 6
Prototype 2
Lollipop Chainsaw

Give Lord of the Rings: War in the North a go, was definitely better than all other Lord of the Rings games that have been pushed out over the years. That's if you're into Lord of the Rings though. Not sure what else to recommend since I'm more of a PC Gamer and don't own a PS3.

Prototype 2 is fucking awesome but the art style for cutscenes will be cool and weird for the first one or 2 and then it will go back to being just being cool I heard Neverdead sucks just plain and simple that it is awful but I can't tell you first hand, Dishonoured I played it but just couldn't finish it, it just didn't keep me interested I think it was just the writing and the ways it makes you do things but i'm the 1 percent that doesn't like it. Ive never been a fan of Darksiders myself so yeah thats about all of the advice I can give you also check reviews on games on MULTIPLE sights because you should see more than one opinion.

I honestly can't recommend AC3 at full price. I think I'm just about getting to the good bits and I'm apparently nearly half-way through the game.
I imagine what with sidequests and shit it won't actually be half-way but it's been pretty dull so far and I'm not seeing it get much better anytime soon.

Edit: Instead of it on PS3, go get Tokyo Jungle instead! It's pretty fun, and about a quarter of the price!

(note) Don't get dishonoured, it will likely become quite cheap quickly if you want to save on cash.

If you haven't tried sniper elite V2 yet, let me give you a reason to get it:

There's DLC where you can blow Hitler's head off. No joke.

I played the demo and it seems like a really cool game, but it just requires a level of patience and finesse that I lack.

That's disappointing, I was really hoping for an improvement after the abysmal cash-grab, Revelations, last year.

Is Tokyo Jungle on PSN, or did it get full retail release? I did quite fancy it at the time, but forgot all about it.

I may take your advice, I don't really know anything about it, but it seemed to be receiving a lot of positive hype in the months running up to it's release.

Thanks for all the feedback thus far, chums.

Don't bother with Payne or RE6. Add tickets to "The Hobbit" in there.

Incidentally, aren't you a bit old for a Christmas list?

Do you have any game systems besides PS3?
Do you want any non-game gifts?
We need details.

You're never to old for a Christmas list...

FINALLY! Someone on the internet who knows what the series is! I was about to make one of those "Am I the only one who..." threads!

*hugs*

Incidentally, the Christmas list comment was just so I could include that DW clip.

I'm afraid after losing approximately three days of my life to the interminable LOTR trilogy, even my desire to keep Martin Freeman in gainful employment won't get me into another of Tolkien's snoozefests.

I am mildly ashamed of my Christmas lists, to be honest, but if I didn't make them I'd just get twenty 'Mock the Week: Too Hot for TV' DVD's and I'd rather have cholera than watch another one of them.

I have a 360 as well, but I only get exclusives for it. It's not a console bias or anything, I just prefer the PS3 controller.

I'm open to PSN and Xbox Live suggestions, also, cause I can just ask for points cards, in that case.

It's my favorite book series, and are highly underrated. As much as I think a movie would butcher them, I fear it may be the only way for them to get the recognition they deserve.

Ask for something wacky that you wouldn't get yourself like me. I asked for a kimono-style housecoat. Imitation silk, only 50 bucks. Can't to see what kind of looks I get outside my house rockin' that mid-winter.

PSN only. It also had some DLC characters, and before you go all "blargh, what a rip off!" it;s actually a pretty good deal. Something like, £3.49 for 10 new characters or something.

If you have a PS3 then what you need to do is go on the PSN Store and pick up God Hand. Its only $10 and worth every bit of it. I recommended it to a friend and to quote him "this is some of the most fun I've ever had with a game." The game is a solid beat em up with a crazy story and a killer sense of humor. Just don't play it with a serious mindset.
