All mine disappeared over the last few months.
I am in perfect health & my life is completely stable, so I probably shouldn't be complaining about the little things.

...that make life great, wouldn't you agree? I just had roast beef with Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, 5 kinds of veg, cauliflower cheese and home-made gravy (proper beef gravy, none of that packet stuff!) I've got the day off work tomorrow, and no jobs to do, errands to run, or commitments to meet. In short, I am utterly content with life right now.

How about you, fellow Escapists? What little things have made you think "Life is sweet" recently?
We Yorkshire folk really are awesome.

For me, it's smelling freshly mown grass and all the verdant plant life. Listening to the birds chirping. Being really thirsty and taking that first big gulp of an ice cold coke or beer. When dating someone, getting it on fantastically, and then catching your breath and just curling up together.

The fact that I often take a 2 hours train trip (which I had to get up early) to the city just to see my best friend and hang out wit him for the day is so worth it.

The smell of your wife in the morning :)
When i wake up and i take a deep breath, its good to know shes there, smelling like strawberries and fabric softener.

Oh, and moral choice system in games. I dont care how poorly its done, at least i have the choice to be a d*ck.
If your wife smells of fabric softener how did you get her to fit in the washing machine? : /

I agree it's the little things in life that make us happy. But I also strongly believe in following Maslow's hierarchy of needs to attain a bit of perspective : D. As long as I follow this it puts a lot into perspective http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Maslow%27s_Hierarchy_of_Needs.svg

Deus Ex is pretty sweet. But I also am enjoying a slow day at work where I can just play Deus Ex and still get paid. Fun times.

Playing a game with a drink nearby and playing for hours knowing that I have nothing to do that day and the next.

Greatest. Feeling. Ever.
Agreed. It's times like that when I'm glad I have a drinks fridge in my room. Enough Dr. Pepper to keep me going for hours...

OT: The surprise I get when a parcel gets delivered that I totally forgot I ordered. Trying to explain why I bought a ASCII GameCube controller, or the deluxe version of Catherine to everyone was a bit of a challenge.

Also when someone posts an image like this on facebook...I swear you couldn't make some of this stuff up.

Oh God, hell yes, OP. Although I wouldn't really call The Rock a small thing. Anytime I hear one of his themes, my day gets a little better.

Try to listen to this and not have a feeling of awesomeness about you.

Thinking your about to die in Dues Ex HR to a robot when a robot you hacked a while ago starts driving towards the current enemy robot, they drive toward each other until the other one explodes, and I give out a little chuckle and wish I could bring the robot with me.

Dunno if it's just me, but I love this, brings back memories of camping in our back when I was in ... good times indeed.
Oh, i adore RainyMood so much. Some gentle ambient music over the top, my lava lamps and instant chillout.
Failing that, Pop Tarts always make me happy

i am lucky to have been blessed with that particularly British gift of being able to experience and have an appreciation for the eye in the storm of life that is the perfect cup of tea.

and yes OP it is indeed the little things...
Most certainly it is. I suspect I have more tea than blood in my body at this point.

Taking my shotgun to the shooting range. I swear, the first time I took it, that was the first I'd actually smiled in a long time.

When the niece and nephews argue over who gets to have my dog by their bed when they sleep over. The dog doesn't care since he prefers the couch, but the kids still try to get him to pick a favorite.

It is the little things that make it all worth it.

But what happens when all the little things form a big thing? Does it therefore make it not worth it?

It's the sight of the smiling faces of my friends at school.
Hilarious Youtube videos are also a plus, they make my day.

An example would be this:

Waking up to my son cuddled next to me because he has snuck in beteween his father and I in the night. Mothering a four year old (especially for a girl who never expected children and sometimes feels completely unable to relate to one) is so frustrating sometimes. The little reminders of how much I love him and how much joy he has brought into my life really just make the whole day brighter.

[HEADING=1]I NEED THIS GAME NOW[/HEADING]

OT:I just ate evening cereal!
FUCKING EVENING CEREAL!
Damn it's been a while since I did that.

Playing your favourite game/watching your favourite film/ listening to your favourite song.

I am currently playing Alan wake, again. I want me a tweed jacket.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who likes that game. I've actually got a tweed jacket, but with no leather patches *sad face*
I loved that game, and now I want a tweed jacket too!
