I think some escapist here had an avatar with the tick.
And it was this [http://repairstemcell.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/the-tick.jpg] picture!

Tick was good fun, wonder why it didn't last though
It was too good.

I vaguely remember the Tick and that it was awesome but I have more vivid and recent memories of Freakazoid and Earthworm Jim, the latter being a video-game-based show with a surprisingly low level of suck. I think the problem with most of these shows that got them ripped off the air so quickly was that they were marketed to the wrong audience altogether. They aired alongside kid shows but exhibited humor that flew over most kids' heads such as EWJ's references to Frank Herbert's Dune. How many kids do you know who have ever read Dune or even seen that trippy David Lynch movie?

A surprising number watched the Spawn Animated series. I did not know how popular it was for a while there.

And yes The Tick is awesome. The libraries in my area have the entire comic series in the omnibus form for borrowing. Libraries rule.

Never seen the Tick before personally.
It was epic, kinda like Mystery Men in cartoon form, although he does have a power in that he's pretty much indestructible.

There was a character called Sarcasmo that used razer sharp sarcasm to hurt his opponents feelings, oh and The Tick lived next to an inter dimensional alien that would eat peoples brains, but the The Tick never noticed because he was so thick.
