I just found out today is not only Towel Day, but also (for some reason) Discworld Day, Geek Pride Day and of course the day the first Star Wars film, A New Hope, premiered 33 years ago.

We had our Towel Day threads, but did anyone think about the other events today? And if so what did you do to honor them?

I for my part only knew the Star Wars part (besides Towel Day of course) and rewatched the first two films. Of course May 4th is official Star Wars Day, but I wasn't aware of it in time.
So stay geeky, honor the towel, beware of dwarf's bread and may the force be with you!

Anyhow, I only knew about Towel Day, none of the others though. Don't celebrate any though, not even Towel Day, mainly due to the fact that I'd have looked like a complete idiot carrying a towel with me to the climbing session I had booked today...
