It's wierd as hell, but it works.

Well, this a thread for anything that's bizarre as all fuck, but still works. Decisions in film/games, day to day tricks, that sort of thing.

I thought about it because I'm currently finally watching the Dark Knight Rises. Bane's voice is strange as hell. It's bizarre to see a hulking manbeast talking like an incredibly posh old man, but I think it's kinda badass in a way.

Also, I have recently dropped "excuse me" as something to use in getting through crowds of dumbasses who won't move, as it so rarely worked. I now simply growl at people. Ridicule that all you want, but there's no denying that it works, and I struggle to deny I enjoy it a little.

The Comic Saga is set in a bizare universe which is like "star wars on acid" yet all the charachters talk and act like like current real life people...and it works

Ugh. Dude.
Seriously?
You know what, you used to be quite an enjoyable poster. A little bitter about stuff, but pleasant enough.
But now it's getting to the point where I'm starting to think you may actually be a danger to yourself and other people.
Get some bloody therapy already.

his name is dr. Lector, after all. I'm surprised he hadn't become a misanthopic psychopath this quickly.

That would be happening in january. Or at least I was told it would be. Slow process and all.

Anyway, didn't mean to put across that tone. Well, probably doesn't bode well that everyone picked up on that but me, but for what it's worth I apologise. I'm probably cranking up the misanthropy/grump meter a little more than usual with the new year and stuff without even realising it.

Someone posted a thread on here a while back about an extremely experimental drink he/she had come up with. It was called "Breakfast Sludge"..The ingredients involved shouldn't have worked..The drink should have been a vomit-inducing disaster but it turns out to be quite the opposite, I thought it was actually really good, but it just took far too much effort and ingredients to make it again

It involved so many different kinds of ingredients I don't have a hope in remembering all of them, but I can remember the basics

A Teabag
Spoon full of Coffee powder
Hot Chocolate mix
Weetabix
sugar
Hot water

And about 800 other things

It sounds utterly horrible when you read it, but it turned out to be really goddamn good O_O

Well, at least he's not just knocking or shoving people out of the way like other assholes...okay, I did that once, but this ************ had the audacity to cut in right in front of me and laugh, just as I got to the entrance.

Anyway, weird things that work. I think this could be a applied to a lot of comic series.

Nextwave, or as I like to call it, the only superhero comic you need to read from beginning to end and only gets better as it goes on. It pretty much takes the ever loving piss out of marvel and comic books in general while still being a fun read.

Pizza and Ketchup both compliment each other

Same with Pretzels and Ranch

Though that may just be my stomach speaking >.>

Talking about bizarre food combinations, I find that cheddar cheese and granny smith apples are fantastic together. Mmmm....

If it sounded so disgusting, why did you try it in the first place?

Weird things that work. Hmm.
If you squeeze your thumb firmly, your gag reflex is greatly reduced. Seriously.
As long as you keep hold of your thumb, you can stick your finger down your throat and nothing happens.

I got a potato chip chocolate bar for christmas in my stocking. Surprising mix of flavors and it tasted very good.

I put maple syrup in my chili, it sweetens it. Also Spider-Man noir. weird but it works, in fact it was the only part of Shattered Dimensions that I enjoyed.

I'm curious as to how you found that out.

Actually, I bet it was cracked. Goddammit, I think I about 1% of what I know is from school, 49% from cracked, and 50% from QI.

Well, I get odd looks when I cut pizza with scissors. But guess what? I works BETTER than those rolling knife thingies. Plus scissors are also useful for a million other things.

I just sneak up behind people and do this:

Gets 'em every time, though a good "look out" and a shove in the right direction works just as well for clearing a wide space.

you're just saying that so we'll get curious and try it and gag ourselves, aren't you? well i won't fall for your tricks.

OT: well, guess now's a good a time as any to repost one of my favorite desert combinations that people refuse to even try. chocolate chip cookies dipped in tartar sauce. divine. they really compliment each other.

I just want to say that your comment completely summarizes my University education. I watch QI way too much and I'm always on Cracked

The OP was incredibly persuasive. I didn't want to try it at first, but by the end of the thread he made it sound absolutely incredible

If you want to hear something bizarre, I know a girl who can lick her own elbow. I was amazed.
