Darkest Of The Hillside Thickets!!! They're a Lovecraftian punk rock band.

Anyone who doesnt check these guys out should just go away... best songs are Color Me Green and SHHHH

I give you 'Capella Metal Cover Band', many people might know them however; Van Canto

Give it a listen, it's really quite awesome.
Well if you had looked at the previous page you might have found myself mentioning them ;) but another great cover.
But they're not 100% a cover band.

Nobody in real life has heard of Tarot, while I've only met a couple who have heard of Lights.

Oh god. An obscure band thread. This is going to go nowhere...Because there is little discussion value in people being all smug about they're favorite bands.

I'll bite.

The Aquabats
Love the Aquabats, aren't they pretty popular?

OT: Gogol Bordello (popular too, but not so mainstream)

Obscure band? Hmm, maybe Pain. i rather enjoy their music and they're not all the well known (as far as I know!). Anyway they're not what the band name sounds like, don't be fooled!

TV on the Radio,
The adventures of Duane and BrandO,
And not many people my age seem to know about Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan.
K-OS.
The Sonic Boom six.
To a lesser extent, The Electric six.
Zelda Reorchestrated, not quite a band.
The Diablo Swing orchestra.

Ephel Duath - Insane metal-jazz-swing hybrid.
Hypnogaja - Mainstream indie/rock but independant and (unfortunately) not well known, very catchy.
Moonspell - Very diverse rock/metal/godknowswhat outfit.
Nonexist - Technically they shouldn't count as they only made one album and have disbanded, but really good metal group nonetheless.

Ta da!

Machinae Supremacy. Any time they heard me say I like them the only word they hear is Machinae (pronounced machine) and they start saying "wow I love rage against the machine"......

The Human Abstract
I know the Human Abstract! [small]They suck[/small]

Anyway, not nearly enough people know Between The Buried And Me, this needs to be fixed!
Well done for expressing your opinion in a completely un-confrontational way.....
but I will agree that the second album isn't good by any measure

Oh no, confrontation!

I kid of course. I'll be honest, I loved the first album, but apparently AJ was the only thing that made that band good.
