The artists I listen to that nobody knows are:
Maria Mena (Norwegian Singer)
Carpark North (Danish Band)
Briskeby (Norwegian Band)

They all sound good, and for some reason only sing in English.

Here's a tough one. Has anyone ever heard of the metal band Fuck Your Yankee Blue Jeans? Their most popular song was featured in a very popular movie, but I bet you still haven't heard of them.

Priestess
Those two are pretty well-known, especially once Priestess got into GH.

I'd wager no one's heard of Týr.

And I'll bet my life you haven't heard of Nigriventer.

Tyr? you joking right? Eric the Red is a great album, I'm partial to Ragnorak myself

Rectal Smegma.

Look it up. It exists. I recommend the song: "eating the decaying cervix of a crack whore"
I remember someone saying that name of the song in a thread a while ago. But I never could find that song.

Nah, I love By The Light of The Northern Star. And yes, Týr are obscure, and even more so for those not familiar with metal.

Yeeeeaaah, you could say it's Folk Metal. Don't expect accordions or violins, though. Their "folk" is more in their singing style and overall theme.

Ah, so kind of like Alestorm and their whole pirate motif?
