I grew up learning classical music, so I tend to look for complexity in my music. Unfortunately, most mainstream music is reduced to the most basic elements, and all subtly in volume have been destroyed. (Search for the Loudness War on goole/Youtube) I dislike artificial music too, auto-tuning is horrendous when over used.

On the other hand, this is a new advert for... something (a bank, I think)... that's on TV at the moment. I think it's pretty cool.

Damn, can't remember how to embed videos...

I am trying to figure out if this was a dubstep thread or Kyari Pamyu Pamyu thread.
I myself went full circle. Heavy rock, to dubstep, and all the way back to anison.
My ipod looks like it is owned by a person with a multi- personality disorder.

I used to think all that silly screaming in metal was silly
then suddenly Mastodon.
(I heard it in NFS: Most Wanted, so yay for casul)

I also used to think that "softie" metal was lame
then suddenly Mastodon.
(I heard it in Saints Row 2, so yay for double casul and for every SR game having a song from Mastodon on the radio)
That's because Mastodon are bloody Gods, therefore this thread needs more.

Becuase it's where i got my username.

While I thought the music wasn't great, that vid is hilarious when muted and combined with Rammstein.

On topic, Queensryche. Saw them supproting Judas Priest back in 2011, thought they were solid, if nothing special. Was reminded of them in a thread earlier this year, reminded me to check them out in greater detail. and now Operation Mindcrime is high in my list of favourite albums.
