I've figured out why my K/D is so bad in MW3

Back when I played MW2 and Black Ops my K/D ratio was somewhere around a 2.3, and my win/lose ratio was close to a 5.0 (constantly going back and forth from about a 4.8 to a 5.1). Now in MW3 my K/D is a paltry 1.42 and I couldn't understand why because my win/lose is through the roof at about a 6.4.

I think I've finally figured out the problem, tonight, it's the spawns.

I usually run with a full team when I play the Call of Duty games, because my friends and I just tend to be on at the same time when we get back to our respective residences from a long day at our various higher learning institutions. The friends I normally play with a VERY good, and they kill enemies very quickly, and very efficiently. The problem with this is that because they kill enemies so often, and move around the maps so quickly mopping up the enemy team as they go, the game gets confused with spawns, and somehow manages to spawn people behind me almost a good 40% of the time.

Today I was playing with a different group of friends, who aren't nearly as good at the game, and who don't rush much, and because they weren't getting nearly as many kills, or moving around nearly as much the enemy team spawned much more predictably, and I almost never got killed from behind because someone spawned in my rectum and this allowed me to consistently get an average of about 20 kills and 4 deaths in TDM games.

It's really discouraging to rushing players like myself to constantly be assaulted from behind because of an unfair spawning system that makes moving around the maps disadvantageous. If infinity ward really wanted to make the game more fast paced and campy then they really missed the mark, because it's impossible to keep a fast pace when the game's spawning system completely works against that premise.

I feel you there with Battlefield 3?a game that I thoroughly do not enjoy and as such will actually be returning for WWE12 (hate on it, i want my nostalgia trip). I used to play TDM's with a couple friends of mine when we didn't have enough time to play through full rounds of Rush or Conquest since TDM in BF3 rarely lasts more than five or ten minutes. But the spawning system would, on occasion, spawn enemies right in front of me during the initial spawn. We once got a 3/0 lead within' ten seconds because three enemies spawned right in front of me and i just mowed them right down. It's hard to make games fast paced while constantly forcing you to tiptoe through the tulips watchign for enemies. That being said though, I really don't think there's anything much that can be done about it. You've really only got two options for spawning systems and it's fixed points or random spawns. Fixed points gives you the advantage of knowing what to expect, but at the same time the maps in CoD are not made for spawn points and I feel like the addition of them would be detrimental. While random points creates an almost unfair system in which you run the risk of being ganked by an asshole spawning two feet behind you with a shotgun forcing you to constantly check your surroundings at all times which slows down action. It's a toss up really, a lesser of two evils thing.

Well what they could always ATTEMPT to do would be to spawn you as far away from the enemy team as possible. I mean honestly, the maps are pretty big, and most of them have tight corridors with few lines of sight, so how exactly is it a problem to spawn people somewhere where they don't have DIRECT LINE OF SIGHT TO ME? If anything this is just lazy programming.

The problem with that is in TDM teams tend to spread out. Anywhere you spawn someone is gonna end up being close to SOMEONE probably. So it's either you get ganked or someone else does. Spawn points are really the only guarantee that no one is gonna gank you, nless they're attacking that particular spawn point in a Capture Point match or something, in which case, well that's kinda how it works.
