No way no way, mur-num-an-aah,

The way to write murnumanaah has been plaguing me for some time and I'm open to suggestions. I haven't read the whole thread, nor am I going to. My opinion is that the human race will likely not die out because someone wanks themselves (note how I used the plural to avoid assigning a gender?) raw over massive cartoon (or real, tbh) tits/dicks/buttocks/pecs/crooks of elbows/hairy feet.

Because on this forum you are the only active poster with this attitude who also always comes out to express it. Maybe you're not the only one - just the "loudest", y'know.

Anyway, the rest of your post... Dammit, I think getting to you here and now is most likely impossible (for me at least) and honestly I hope the like-minded I mentioned in my first post don't exist at all.

But there's one important point I probably should've made in the first post already:
It's not my business what these men do, nor am I in a position to do anything about it.
You are right in a literal sense - there isn't really anything you can do about these hapless guys now. But more and more will join them as time goes by unless something is done to prevent it. The first little step is to stand up and say it's a bad fate that you wouldn't wish on anyone. That you're not fine with it. I mean, you are not fine with young girls and women getting more eating disorders because of beauty standards and other expectations constantly thrown at them, right? This is the same thing.
If it helps at all, some time ago, I read an Economist article about Japan's plummeting birthrate, and there are apparently a number of other factors, mostly cultural that have had a hand in this lack of relationships. It stated that mixing of the sexes at a young age is pretty uncommon. Paired with the heavy emphasis many of them have on adhering to cultural norms, as well as a distaste for being forward, and frustrating pressure to find a romantic partner from family members, it made finding a romantic partner in adulthood far more difficult.

Considering appreciation of anime has become relatively widespread globally at this point, while plummeting birthrates are exclusive to Japan, I'm getting the impression that being into anime girls by itself won't turn people into antisocial shut-ins unless they already have a tendency to be antisocial. Of course there will be exceptions, just like how Catcher and the Rye pushed someone to become a killer, but I think you can rest easy that anime won't cause the rest of the world to follow in Japan's footsteps.

The Muppets say Mahna Mahna, and if they're wrong, I don't want to be right.

I don't hate anime because it's the cause of it all, but I hate how it enables people to "fall" just like in the original post of the thread. I similarly dislike girl streams (on Twitch for example) that sell their fake friendship for donations and subscriptions, but at least they are real "3D" people. I believe most of these guys are not antisocial, but they're just different enough from the so-called normies to feel like they don't belong with them and maybe every once in a while this comes up in a conversation somewhere; their interests don't match, their methods of discussion don't match, their plans for the future differ greatly, and so on, reinforcing that feeling.

Perhaps anime is more of a symptom - it's the best-known example of a whole market which caters to these type of comfort-seeking people. What bothers me with it is how detached from reality a lot of anime tropes are, and as people really get into it, it becomes a cycle. Seeking comfort from this fairytale land of cute, big-eyed characters, and as you watch more you just become better at it and the world opens up with more and more exciting things for you to enjoy... Why ever leave?

Of course, that's a simplification, but that brings me into another point I said earlier: even if it didn't matter too much statistically (disenfranchisement and loneliness are big societal problems) I don't want anybody to end up a lost cause and I don't see any reason why it's inevitable and couldn't be dealt with. It is also a personal topic for me, as I've seen my friends become these caricatures - physically soft and mentally frail - and I'm doing what I can to stay on top of things myself despite being lonely and unhappy. Because I know that if I just let it go I would hate myself forever no matter the solace it would provide.

Oh, dude stop. I don't understand what the big deal is, you could do far worse than "Teenage Mutant Giant-titted Ninja Schoolgirls". It's just weird that you actually bought them with real money when you can just read them online for free.

No, until you start buying real dolls or custom-made fleshlights molded from the loins of pop idols, porn stars, or ANIME CHARACTERS (because that is a thing that really exists for fuck sakes. Google it), then there is hope for you - for everyone - to find someone to be with.

It's not easy, BUT IT'S NOT SOME HERCULEAN TASK!

Dude. You sound like you want me to go out and manic-pixie-dreamgirl some guy who is attracted to "waifus". (I mean, bringing up that I wouldn't date these guys is weird- as an aside, I wouldn't date anyone. I'm taken. I can't go out saving men from anime boobies, sorry).

And I really don't think that liking anime boobs is some horrible plague that is going to devour all men.

I'm not going to say that I think liking anime girls is "a bad fate that wouldn't wish on anyone" because I don't think that. Maybe you do, but I'm not your soapbox. People can do what they want. I am fine with it. I don't think it's like an eating disorder. Please stop projecting onto me.

If YOU think these things, fine, but I don't. I think it's a kinda weird but ultimately harmless fetish.

EDIT: That's as far as I'm gonna go with this derail, as it's kind of weirding me out. I'm not sure what you want from me but I have a feeling we're not going to agree. I guess I apologise to the OP for the derail but it wasn't really my idea and it's confused the fuck out of me. But still.

But Phasmal, think of it - you could turn it into your own B-List Superhero Shtick! You run around, beating up up evils like pervy manga-ka, artists and titty cosplayers to break men free of their influence so they could see the real world! Have your own talking sidekick magic cat, have the comedy of trying to hide your double life from your SO. The whole nine yards.

It'd be a hit! Maybe not silver screen movie hit, but maybe Netflix 12 episode moderate budget series level hit.

I think this is the point where we can finally say I've given up on "normal" or relationships and gone full nerd.
As a nerd I am insulted by that statement.
Geeks, Nerds, and Weebs are distinct traits that happen to be able to overlap.
You sir; went full Weeb.
Going full Nerd would involve something like calculating the math on D&D 5E's DisAdvantage system. (Basically there are 220 possible rolls with 20 possible results. So with Advantage rolling a 20 and anything else is a 20, meaning 20/220 possible rolls are 20.)

I just realised that I have not drawn one big breasted woman before. Huh, I already have an idea for one but she is already curvy... as in built like a line'wo'man.

Normality is a social construct created by the majority to illegitimize and ostrocize the minority. Normal people are those who conform to an archetype so as not to be excluded. Don't be normal, be yourself. So long as it doesn't violate the law it's ok

Well, I think this may have pushed me a bit closer, even if I wasn't there before. These came out today and I got them:

You know what? Instead of feeling ashamed, you should feel grateful that you live in a country where you CAN purchase these. A lot of Anime stuff never even comes out officially where I live.

You either make very little, or spend a TON on magic cards. I'm hoping it's the latter, got anything good? I haven't played physical MTG in ages but loving the Magic Duels on steam with my buddies (Great when you've all moved far away from each other).

I believe that "metric fuckton" would be an appropriate term for how much I spend. I'd say... slightly more than my weekly rent & food bill.

I only got back in to it this year after having not played since '99, but I've amassed quite a number of old cards, and am slowly but surely building a significant collection of what I call "wtf??" cards. Ones that are broken beyond belief, absurd, silly or, to paraphrase c+c music factory... cards that make you go "hmmmmm".

At the risk of going way off topic here, holy fuck that's a lot. My rent/food is about 1,200 a month so that's a LOT of cards. Yeah I hadn't played since way back in the day, so seeing new cards now I'm always filled with "What the FUCK? How's that not OP as balls?" Some card I recently saw I think was like a 6/5 for 6 with destroy target creature, can toughness equal to it's toughness or something. Among other insane cards.

OT so I don't derail too much: Anime tiddies are fine and good, but nothing can compete with the real deal (I say as I play FF15 and don't mind chatting with Cidny/Cindy/TitsMcGee).

Also, does having signed stuff from an actual cosplayer fall on the same level, less bad or worse?

What exactly is the appeal?

I don't just mean the boobs thing, obviously I loves me some boobs but is there an actual story worth getting invested in here with Senran Kagura? Should I just stop kidding myself and watch pron?

Really? This is the point where it got weird? Dude, the normal boat sailed off without you long ago.

Which is probably for the best, there's not much worse then being "normal." Whatever that means these days.
Agreed.

Paragon if you like the manga, okay then. I don't have a problem, and most people on the forum don't. I own two of the 3DS games, have a copy of Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, and two copies of Bayonetta 1 (came with Bayonetta 2 on Wii U) with multiple posters from reserving Bayonetta on 360 when it launched. I play these games mainly for the gameplay, the fan-service I'm indifferent about or don't care. Though are moments where it is genuinely funny. Surprisingly, the Senran Kaguara games have decent lore, character motivations, and character development. I can't speak for the anime or manga adaptions. Before anyone ask, my favorite is Katsurugi. She's break dancing ninja, that's why.
