My Wii stopped reading the discs a few months ago; I have yet to experience any sort of life-threatening withdrawal like what a heroin addict would have. Same goes for when my WoW subscription ran out and I had to wait a few months to get the money to renew it.

You should've acted like you were injecting the stylus into a vein and said "oh yea that's the stuff!"

But seriously gotta love the older generations ignorance to the gaming industry

You know what I would have said?

My hair is a bird. Your argument is invalid.

I would put the pic up that that came from, but I'm lazy.

People really need to research something before making an argument. I've made that mistake myself.
Here you go

Personally, I would demand peer reviewed research papers to support her hypothesis.
I'm doing that from now on...and I think you won the thread.

EDIT: Sorry I spoke to soon: this guy wins.

One question which would win instantly:
"Then how come heroin's illegal but games aren't?"

In case someone wanders onto this forum believing that drek that video games are like heroin addiction. First off your and idiot and subject to sterilization.
Secondly, if you want a safe view of heroin addiction watch Trainspotting, or better yet read the book.

Really? I can't remember the last time somebody died of a Nintendo overdose.
The one lady who drank so much water she died in the states for a wii.

OT: i would have to say if a drug had to be compared to video games it would be caffine and/or pot.

I'd turn around to her and say that thanks to her, I've re-evaluated my life and substituted my horrible gaming addiction with class A drugs.

Because video games totally 'cause heart problems. Gosh, people nowadays are stupid. Out of curiosity, what was her opinion on Harry Potter?

This is why I love the escapist. Everyone has a right answer to the topic.

OT: Ignore her, she knows nothing. It's like how old ladies hate heavy metal.

ignorance should be punishable by death.
On one hand, that would make the world a far better place. On the other, about 99.999% of people on Earth would have to die. That includes you, me, and everyone on this forum.

Old people in general are artistically close-minded. They're also petty, spoiled, arrogant, ignorant, whiny, "oh to live in the good ol' days (that weren't actually all that good)" twatbags. I for one am glad the Baby Boomers are starting to die out. All the ones I know are human cancers.

Okay, well, for one, if someone doesn't play Games then I'm pretty sure that they are not subjected to extreme physical pain. Seriousely, I remember hearing somewhere that Heroin withdrawl is the most painful and excruciating thing that can be experienced by a human being currently known.

Yeah, they totally sound the same so far.
That's much better, everything's better with a sarcmark

O.T I think this woman is a genius, from now on instead of playing games I'll just take heroin
