Yeah, I heard about the whole "Frumpy Mom" thing too. Is Michael Atkinson's influence outside of Australia really that strong? He recently said that he's come to expect criminal activity from gamers. Atkinson, the Frumpy Mom, and this "games are like heroin" lady seem to be cut from the same cloth. The cloth of people who know nothing about video games, yet say that they're evil as if it's some scientifically proven fact. Seriously, people need to do more research on video games before they start campaigning against them.Monshroud said:

I once read a quotation from a German official (whose name or position I can't recall) from when they said that "Violent video games are as bad as child pornography" or words to that effect.
... She has obviously never done heroin, never played a game, and never ever has seen someone be destroyed by that drug.
You should have said "You know what's worse then video games?" BANG!!-punched her right in the face- then turn to the bus full of frightened people and say "10 points".
That or pulled out a heroin needle and asked her if we should prove that theory.
The better one you could have used is " Well dear madame be that as it may but generally the people who often play video games to such a degree are often seen as geeky shutins that have no life's and prefer to play video games and increase their knowledge because of the giant nerds they are. To which most of us go to college and get a higher education which leads to a high paying job which may also mean that when I'm your age I won't have to take the bus to work every day so I can stick my nose in on other peoples business".
Another way of dealing with it is to just shake your head at her and say "Spoken like a true addict".
