I've just booted up Steam

The Steam UI Beta is going live for EVERYONE in... well, tomorrow.
So yeah, you're all coming to the dark (and sleek, pretty, organized) side rather soon.

I'm loving the new interface. Specially the detailed game info.

Shows how much I know. Maybe I should boot up steam more often.

Lol, well, this is VALVe we're talking about, "Monday" for them could mean "sometime in July" =P

I like the beta Steam. It is very smooth and a lot more functional than the old one.

The beta is glorious. It makes socialising a lot easier, and looks a lot less like a business application.

This basically. I love the beta UI. It was kinda weird at first (especially since the day after I got it, they broke the text on the in-game overlay for a weekend), but once I got used to it, it was great.

I havnt tried the Beta, But knowing what steam is like im kinda scared of trying it

Steam is amazing though. It's pretty much my only source for PC games, and I've never had any problems.

I dislike your use of the word "original look", because the look you are use to is not the original, but is atleast the second look that I can think of. This Beta is now atleast the third look.

Anywho, I have not tried it but I'm sure it will be good. I'm just gonna wait till it is released and everyone has to download it though.

It's already a forced download, I think... at least it forced me to download it.

I'm not really a fan of the new Steam layout. the original was great because it didn't look futuristic and cluttered. I like bare bones layout and this is just obnoxious. chances are I already know how many of my friends play Counter-strike....Just seems really unnecessary to me.

Any thoughts on the new layout?

Here's something I like. the new download page tracks all the stuff you download and your DL speeds. Plus they made it a little more easy to load in-game. But I don't need any of the visual baggage.

I rather like it. It's certainly much more attractive than before, they just need to increase its performance a tad.

As far as im concerned, ITS STEAM. Im not going to nit pick it for wanting to look different, ill just appreciate it for being what it is.
