When you quit smoking, the physical addiction lasts for a few days, atmost a week I think. Your body doesn't need nicotin to function anymore. The mental addiction can last for years though. For some people quitting can be easy, for others quitting is very difficult. You should probably find a way to tackle this mental addiction, because if you are one of those persons that never gets over it, you can't really feel better I think.
Find a new hobby outside of gaming and the internet to help overcome this addiction. I'm very introverted and prefer to stay inside. I reluctantly go out with friends, but I always end up having fun and when I leave, I'm tired from the social interaction, but I also feel happy and content. If you don't have good friends like this, you could try finding them. Internet friends can be really good friends, but I've always felt they were not really the same as friends in normal life.
I agree with people saying that only you can achieve your happiness. I have depended on others for happiness but it never turned out well. A Dutch comedian sang a song "I love me", which was about him loving himself rather than others (In Holland a comedian is not just for laughing but usually writes songs too). It sounds arrogant, but he also sang "I love you usually means "honey here are my problems, solve them for me, I'm living in hell expecting heaven from you" you give me hell, thanks, fuck off", "You only need "I love you" because you can't love yourself, say "I love me", because someone who only says that will give something very precious when he says "I love you"". Which I really believe is true.
I think there are lots of people here prepared to listen to you and your problems if you have them. If you feel like you need someone, you can message me if you want to.
