After coming back from a memorial service from one of my good friends and another person, both who passed away last sunday, I looked at the "in Memory of" facebook page and found out it was being spammed with racist comments by people with false names. It got so bad that the page had to be removed.

I mean who does hell stuff like this? I just don't get it, I've never wanted to find out who someone is so badly.

I think it's terrible, anyone have any opinions on this?

Some people think that being anonymous lets them do anything they want and it doesn't matter... so people who do this are just asses.

As immature and disrespectful as it may seem, people will always do this kind of shit. It's just in some peoples nature to "troll". They enjoy getting a rise out of anyone in any way possible, even if that means making trollish statements on a page dedicated to someone that has passed away.

People are pricks, more so than not. It sucks, but that's just how it is.

For what it's worth, you have my condolences. I've just recently lost a friend in a drunk driving incident, so I know what you're going through.

Generally speaking, I don't trust people on the internet. If you can't see their face and hear their voice (meaning if you don't know who it is), I think they are like 15X more likely to do that kind of thing. I agree that those people are incredibly disrespectful, and I can only hope the people who did it are discovered and punished, harshly.
