I wear contacts, shaved my head and have never looked twice at a D&D board. Yet I'm still a nerd so ha.
Wearing glasses is to do with sight not nerdiness.
Weezer isn't nerdy, it's just shit, either that or I refuse to be considered a nerd from now on.

As for competition I'm a Stargate fan, I correct people when they talk about lord of the rings and I write about how much of a nerd I am on internet forums (this is most certainly not the first or last time I will as well).

Played D&D almost like a second job, own boxes of MtG cards and was really good at it, spent nearly $4000 on things like games, anime, swords, Gundam models, computers and such. I have wall scrolls of hot anime chicks in my apartment, and own a combat ready replica of the Master Sword... yeah.
I've been an absolute nerd my whole life, but people tend to not see it at first since it's hidden under a veneer of punk and hardass. Then they see my place and go, "Ah. You're a dork, huh?"
I have short hair, a thriving social life and good vision despite staring at screens most of my time spent awake. Yet I can speak haxx0r, I know what race is good for what class in WoW, and am currently single. I like to think I'm not alone, and that many of us Escapists are a powerful hybrid breed.

Yet I also play M:TG, once played WH40K table top years ago, watch anime, enjoy going to train exhibtions with my dad, a gamer, a PC GAMER!, played an MMO for 3 years, like Weezer and listen to indy/metal, love sci-fi, read philosophy, spend too much time on the internet and nearly know all geek/nerd cultural references.
I own between forty and fifty Transformers toys, and get super-excited over games and Transformers films. And cartoons. YEAH!!!
Also I have a Warhammer 40k army. And I love pretty much any sci-fi, study philosophy and classical civilisation at college.....you know, the usual stuff. =D
