I've tried really hard to like Borderlands do I need to give it more time?

the issues with port forwarding on the multiplayer pretty much ruined it for me, There really isn't enough people willing to go through the trouble to build up an online community properly.

If you don't like it now then I doubt the rest of the game will make you change your mind as it's largely the same. Shame really, I enjoyed it but I can see why some just can't get into it.

Trade it in for No More Heroes 2.

Just do it!

I'd trade in Uncharted 2, Dragon Age Origins, and Borderlands to get to play No More Heroes 2
That can be arranged. *Shifty eyes*

If you don't like Borderlands yet, then by all means, trade the sucker in. No More Heroes 2 seems as though it's going to kick super ass.

I myself, love Borderlands.

I bought Borderlands excited thinking I would love the game, from the opening with a kickass theme to awesome intros for all the characters I thought this would be my game of the year, however for me that was the best part of the game.

I'm not trying to put down people who like the game, but every time I pick up the game I feel like I'm forcing myself to play. I made it to Sledge's safe-house and I'm seriously considering trading it in for No More Heroes 2, but I keep hearing how great it is should does the game take more time to get to the "good parts" or will it just keep being the same thing over and over?
It doesn't get better. It stays the same. In every way. It's a monotonous game that you either like or don't like. There is no story to interest you, the environments stay the same throughout the game, weapons stay the same for the most part (just with bigger numbers). You either get hooked on the basic gameplay or you quickly get bored.

Online on PS3 or Xbox 360 is actually rather good, with a large number of games to choose from.

I have heard worse reviews of the PC version though, including the problem with modded weapons making the game too easy.

I think on a console this game is one of the few that are better than played on PC.

I did the exact same thing. Its just sat on my shelf, and i doubt i'll ever pick it up to play properly again.
