Japan makes cooler characters than everyone else...

Japan always makes cool stuff like insane fighting robots, planet-buster characters, guys with crazy hair and outfits, and over the top sword and gunplay.

Other countries like America always create guys with guns and gruff, low voices who don't do much cool stuff.

So How come Japan makes cooler stuff than the rest of us.. They made Power Rangers.. America made Halo Spartans.

"Cool" is subjective and thus I cannot agree. My questions to you would be why exactly do you think they are so cool? and non japanese ones not cool? Also how do you define cool?

Congratulations, you have an opinion. One that I and many, many others disagree with.

For instance, I fucking love the Spartan IIs. And if you took the time to look up their backstories, you'd realize that they're actually really fucking cool and very interesting.

Well, technically, Japan gave us Kamen Rider (40th Anniversary) and Super Sentai (35th Anniversary), the latter of the two being transformed into Power Rangers by Haim Saban in 1993 starting with 1992's Kyoryuu Sentai Zyuranger (Dinosaur Squadron Beast Ranger. Zyu is actually Jyu), who was bought out by Disney in 2001 (along with Fox Family), before getting the show back in 2010.

Japan characters are mostly stupid. I mean, how are you supposed to relate to an angsty teen with a stupid haircut? All Japanese games usually do this( Catherine is my only exception). They are NOT likeable. They are ALWAYS the same!

Careful what you say, not everyone agrees that Japan is perfect.

Anyway it buds off the fact that the over-the-top out here became the norm in Japan. Going beyond that needs a knowledge of Japanese culture and entertainment history that i simply dont have.

Also Power Rangers were originally based on a live-action Japanese Spiderman show, and all the adaptation to Power Rangers apparently did was add the "team" theme.

Mostly, I think it's because they're more obsessive as a whole. Fans stay interested longer, you can market things to them when they've got the disposable income. It also means the next generation is more apt to be interested, and the cycle continues.

As for the subject matter in general... call me crazy, and I'd have to check dates, but I'm pretty sure superhumans and giant robots started in comics years before animation was even close to able to pull off things like that. They just ran with it longer and farther than we did.

Ask MovieBob to cover it in a Big Picture, but that's my take on it.

Well since I'm not into anime and what not I can;t say they are cool. Infact I see most of them as very not cool. And Spartans I like to think are cool, all a matter of opinion.
