Have you ever had to be talked out of or talk someone else out of doing something stupid that could really mess you up? personally, I've had to be talked out of jumping out of a rather tall tree into nearly frozen water.

A friend of mine was seriously considering joining a "gang" and I had to talk him out of it. I say "gang" because the "gangs" around here are just wannabe thugs who do drugs, listen to rap and commit petty crimes. Still, my friend would not have benefitted from joining the "gang".
I once wanted to fill a super soaker with gasoline and then ignite it when I shot.

I cannot be talked out of doing anything. If I am about to do something stupid, chances are I have already considered and decided I don't care about the consequences.
I do, however, seem to talk people out of doing stupid shit while they are emotional quite often.
Most recently, I talked someone out of a suicide attempt entirely by browbeating them into submission. They thanked me for it a few days later.
I would not say I am particularily good at berate-therapy, but it does seem to work pretty well for me.

Can you set it to spray instead of squirt? Seriously, you can light a cloud, but lighting a stream is a lot harder.
Can your weapon supply enough pressure to keep the flame at a reasonable distance? If yes, go for it! Also, provide a mount for your igniter. Holding it in your hands would really be stupid.
