He's like Larry the Cable Guy in that the main "humor" is endlessly repeated catch phrases that draw laughter for no other discernible reason than some sort of Pavlovian conditioning. Also, somehow his jokes manage to be even MORE reliant on the exploitation of social stereotypes and irrational fears (See: "Achmed the dead terrorist," "Jalapeno on a stick") than Mr. The cable guy's schtick.

Even when he has the perfect opportunity to satirize such fears (See: Walter) he continues to take the ignorance seriously, drawing laughter not by mocking the irrationality but by convincing the audience that their irrationality is shared and accepted.

And the rest is dick jokes.

So no, he is not in any way funny. Unfortunately, this didn't stop my roommate last year from purchasing and enjoying (frequently) his special on DVD. Yeah, we're not roommates anymore.

Edit: Still, he's better than Mr. Mencia, whose act is simply stereotypes loudly shouted at the unfortunate audience, mixed in with the word "beaner." His catchphrase isn't even made up of words, for god's sakes. It's just sounds! Just soooouuuuunnnnnndssssss!

He was funny when I was an acne covered 13 year old. Now that I'm an acne covered 17 year old, he's pretty bland.

The first time I saw his "dead terrorist" routine, I laughed quite a bit. It's not funny anymore, and I never found his other "characters" funny.

I dunno. I've only seen about three of his routines, and I thought those were pretty swell. I guess he's fine in moderation, from what I've read here. I usually prefer different comedians--along the lines of George Carlin or Chris Rock-- but I've got nothing against the man.

He definitely gets boring pretty quickly, but at first he's funny. His show was a god damned train-wreck though.

I found him funny before he became popular, now he just does the same shit over and over and expects people to laugh. Not to mention he's a really bad ventriloquist.

You hate him more than Dane Cook?

Anyway, I saw the Ahmed the Terrorist thing. I think I cracked a smile, but that could just have been wind.

The only 2 American comedians I like are Reginald D. Hunter and Rich Hall.

His stand up was really good. His show was just the average run of the mill comedy central milking actors routine.

The nay sayers here are annoying though. Apparently for something to be funny it has to be completely smart to the point of where no one gets it.
