When speaking of the critical response and disappointing box-office:
No, I'm not a fan of the movie, but that's not what this is about, there are more than enough topics on that. What's bothering me here is that you have an actor like Jeremy Irons who did the press tours and such building up the movie to convince people to go, then out of nowhere slags his own movie, while at the same time trying to convince us to go see the next one because it's great. So if he didn't like the last one, why would he want to be a part of and promote the future ones? Simple:Deservedly so. I mean it took $800 million, so the kicking didn't matter but it was sort of overstuffed? It was very muddled. I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it's more linear.
Then again, maybe he's just up to his old tricks, but using comic book fans instead of dragons?I'm tied into The Batman at the minute, which is nice because it's a bit of income? Not that I need a bit of income but it's nice to keep ticking over.
