Some people have nothing better to do with their life than talk about music they don't like?

  • Find music I don't like

    Make a thread about it

    Tell everyone I don't like it

    ???

    No one cares.
I apologise for posting something that you don't deem worthwhile, I thought it was at least interesting in it's terrible-ness? Next time I make a thread I will make sure that it's something positive.

I hope you realize 4chan and Funny Junk aren't as stupid as you 9gaggers assume.
I'm afraid I don't follow. I linked a video that I found, thanks to FunnyJunk actually. Do you want me to give some sort of credit to them or...?
Well if your telling the truth, sorry.

Internet drama -_-
Ah fair enough, I assume 9GAG is pretending to be Funny Junk or something along those lines? I've seen it with other videos before. Everyone can have their internet war, I just want stuff to laugh at/rip my ears off =P
They're pretending to be Reddit, 4chan and Funny Junk.

To commemorate the anniversary of /b/ day a few days ago, 4chan got Reddit and Funny Junk to help them raid 9gag. In short this is their "retaliation".

It's not about being positive. I just think it's super stupid to make an entire thread to talk about a song you don't like. I'm the last person that would tell someone to tone back their words or be "politically correct." But going out of your way to point to a random song you found and tell everyone you think it's the worst thing in the world is just... crude.

It's a humor subset. Some people (such as me) find these threads utterly hilarious.

I've enjoyed every second I've spent listening to BrokeNCYDE, Shira, Millionaires, and others who make absolutely horrendous music (although Millionaires have gotten much, much, much better), even though I've enjoyed it in an entirely different way than I enjoy, say, Aphex Twin.

Hm. I get what you're saying and it's not like I would even try to tell people what to do with their time with any sort of authority--if I don't like it, I could just fuck off and ignore it--but it's the whole aspect of going out of your way to mock someone's work. If it comes up in conversation or something, then whatever. Opinions are opinions. Deal with it. But again, to go out of your way like this? Just seems tacky in my eyes.

To be fair, it can be used for good.

The aforementioned Millionaires released a non-serious demo made entirely in the space of one afternoon because they were bored and decided to figure out how Garageband worked.

<youtube=kO-XLQouIn0>

COWBELL BREAKDOWN!

The track garnered them endless amounts of hate, so they took their newfound fanbase (!?!?!) and exposure and kept making more music, getting better and better as time went on. Each new track = more views and hate.

Now, they do actually decent party music, and got there riding a wave of fury.

<youtube=CsocXXe1KSw>

If you dislike/are unfamiliar with dance music, it sounds reprehensible (lyrically, it is). But if you removed the lyrics, it's a well produced carefully composed dance track. So they do live shows to REAL fans and have been on MTV a few times... all because snark. :D

If these things are so terrible, then why are we giving them notoriety and views?

I know the thread's dead, but I'll be damned if this image from that video doesn't become memetic.

Why do I get the feeling that this was done THAT badly on purpose so she could get a ton of views? If I'm right I just want to let everyone know I FUCKING CALLED IT!

Yeah, it's bad, but it's obviously bad. Friday had some actual production quality behind it, so that made it even worse. This is just some kid and a homemade video. Nothing to see here, really.

And, yes, people are making bad music just to get their 15 minutes of fame.
