Both good poems this week. Cheers, gentlemen.

(Wondering if anyone who got in line to ask a question at the Expo is feeling sheepish right now...?)

How much longer before I can purchase these poems in a bound book? Seriously, if you did that I would buy it. Maybe Cory could contribute some illustrations.
Ditto! I would be all over that!

make it happen escapist. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

OT: It may be because I just woke up but I really couldn't decipher what yahtzee's poem was about. I will have to watch it again later to figure that out, but Bravo jim! That was a good one.
It is a little hard to follow. He's lamenting the fact that at Q&As people are asking him stupid questions like "where do you get your ideas" as if they expect there to be some amazing secret behind it.

Well done, both of you! It felt like you guys switched poems, because Yahtzee's was hilariously wacky and bonkers, while Jim told us a tale with poignancy and wit. Isn't it a symptom of being a sociopath that you care more about animals than humans?

;D Still a little tired from the Expo, Yahtzee?

I too find it harder to kill animals [sub](domesticated one at least)[/sub] than to kill people in games, Jim. Even if they are sent to kill me. I mean, it's not like they really chose to try and kill me.

Don't like to attack people who don't attack me first though. Most of the time at least.
I get what you're saying. In Assassin's Creed III I always feel bad having to put down an enemy guard dog, when throwing Bait at them wasn't enough, yet I was totally down with hunting wild animals (prey and predator alike) because I could cut up the bodies for pelts, meat, and other parts to either sell at General Stores or use as Crafting ingredients then sell the finished products. Why? Because Money, Dear Boy! And there were Club challenges based around them and Achievement for it.

HA! :) I see what you're saying too.

Though, just because there is incentive put behind doing such things doesn't make them less unpleasant to do.

With hunting, you "needed" to do it. Plus you used what you killed.

When killing domestic animals, or animals that you have no real important reason to kill. It just leaves ya with guilt.
Same with killing people when you don't have to as well.

Though, I'd be lying if I said I never killed anyone in a game for a trophy.

It's kinda funny to listen to Jim's poem, since I've even been called on the "people sure, animals no fucking way" stance that I tend to have. Like if there's a news about a guy that crashed because of ___ I tend to go "stupid prick" or "do you really care?" if it wasn't the guy's fault, but usually if it's animals I go "you BASTARDS!" but only if it's some cruelty stuff, otherwise I pretty much don't care about it.

Not played much assassins creed 3, red dead redemption or far cry three then I take it. If killing random Russians and pedestrians is the normal thing to do In a gaming Universe how do you regard killing 15 deer to fashion them into a hat.

Whenever I have to kill animals in a game an my pesky morals start acting up, I just think back to Monster Hunter, where all the wildlife are horrible bastards and deserve to be killed and turned into hats.

If it wast for the punchline i would have said this was the first bad one from yathzee, but the end really did save it.

Jim on the other hand has once again suceeded in pointing out the ridiculous aspects of gaming in his poem. i always found it utterly strange how is it ok to kill people, but kiling a dog or a child is autmatically worse than hitler.
Let me kill whoever i want damnit!

Not that he needs anyone to stroke his ego, but I must say that Jim outdid himself this week

Yahztee's poem took a couple tries before I got the joke, though it was thoroughly amusing once I did.
