And the point Mr. Sterling is trying to make is why I have absolutely no fucking sympathy for these companies when they cry "Piracy"

I hate Oasis, but I love Jimquisition.

Video was epic though. Keep up the great work, Jim!

Pretty much. I remember back when Dragon Age: Origins was first released and I bumped into the dude who basically exists as a credit card slot. I obviously went "AW, HELL NAW!" and completed my playthrough on vanilla content - but I couldn't stop myself from chancing a look at a couple Torrent trackers...

There the DLC be, free and unfettered and ready to reintegrate the game it should never have left. I was tempted, I'll admit. A few days go by and I realize that honestly, all the extra Aveline content isn't worth squat.

So when I hear EA go "WHAA, PIRACY, WHAA!", I immediately think to this and think that if EA actually gave a shit, they wouldn't be caterwauling like this.

Typo there, Captcha, but it's still an apt reference.

Speaking of Downloadable Content... When can I buy this on iTunes?

(And before anyone asks, yes, I -would- pay real money for this, I found it hilarious!)

For me DLC isn't a bad thing. It's the day one DLC that makes me see red. Here we have a game fresh and new on the market and they've already created add on content? Why didn't they just make it part of said game? If they finished the game early and took the time to make the DLC, then why didn't the game come out sooner. It's very similar to that commercial where the guy buys a 3D TV, then he sees a truck pass buy advertising a 4D TV. I bought the new shiny, don't tell me it's obsolete or incomplete before I had a chance to enjoy it. DLC months late. But you know DLC might slowly get phased out by micro-transactions.

OT: I was a huge Oasis fan back in the day; well done Jim. Found myself humming along to the tune.

Jim is the Liam Gallagher of Game Journalism, a man with a fork in a world of soup.
Hah, that was a great interview with Noel..

Now, if Jim is the Liam Gallagher, whose the Noel Gallagher of the gaming industry? Would it be Yahtzee?
