Jimquisition: Videogames Are Not Movies, Get Over It

I have to say that it would seem this guy is totally irrelevant to the Escapist. I don't want to go into details of what he did wrong (other posters have done so far better than I can), but he is talking to completely the wrong audience. By and large, the escapist community is an intelligent one, and unlike some other communities where this would be more appropriate, we realize how different games are from movies, and we don't need this guy to tell us that again. I don't know what exactly would need to be done to make this show good, because it just feels wholly unnecessary to have it in the first place. But thats my 2 pence. I have nothing against him, but I don't think his show can continue the way it is.

The Escapist already has snarky humor with Yahtzee (Zero Punctuation), as well as meaningful and insightful discussion for video games (Daniel Floyd with Extra Credits) and movies (with MovieBob)

I don't plan to watch any more of Jimquisition... sorry.

I used to think that Moviebob was a bit opinionated and full of himself at times. This guy takes it to another level that I'll gladly watch Moviebob any day of the week now. Heck, he looks like the most humble and entertaining guy on the planet compared to Jim.

Please Escapist, do not allow this entertainer further tenure at this site.

In all honesty, its difficult to watch this video beyond two minutes. His style is abrasive and confrontational without having anything resembling a coherent argument to bring to the table. His vocabulary is consistent swearing beyond the point of humor or reasonableness, and his logic is simply repetitive.

His production values are at the bottom of the barrel, and he has only the barest hint of a personality beyond insipid hand gestures. Worse still, he has this annoying - and at times discomforting - habit of inflicting immature artwork that only detracts from his vapid points and furthers his un-likability.

More than just a troll king and flame bait, this content-maker will seriously detract from the mature and elevated image The Escapist has gained over the years. Especially with new acquisitions like "Extra Credits", there is a higher reputation to uphold here that Jimquisition will simply get in the way of.

I made it to about 45 seconds before stopping. If you actually made it to 2 minutes you have a higher threshold for pain than me.
