So, I've been taking a game design class at my high school that is derived from a college course from the college a few blocks away. The classes are literally the same thing from what I understand, the only real difference is that the college course teaches binary scripting while the high school course doesn't because they don't think people could focus on it long enough.
I've noticed though, that Game Design is extremely easy. I mean, it's not just me saying this, but I've been watching some of the kids, a few of them have flunked half their classes and are getting A's in this class, as well as people who I know from experience are decent grade students, but are complete flipping idiots, getting great grades in this class. I thought it was just the class until I looked over some of the games they were designing and these things were great!
So, I've come to the conclusion, that most aspects of game design, are something that even a complete and utter idiot can learn to do, and can do it really well.
So I guess what I'm asking you guys is, are there any jobs that seem complicated, or just jobs in general you think would require an average amount of intellect to accomplish, but you see idiots doing pretty well?
(Please note that I don?t use idiot in the derogatory term referring to a person who is mentally retarded. I have plenty of friends who are mentally retarded, and they act with plenty of intelligence and common sense. When I use the term idiot, I mean those people who usually are really stupid/make bad choices because they don?t want to deal with a question/etc. It?s hard to explain so I hope you get the basic gist of what I?m trying to say.)
