Johnny led the group down the tunnel, gun in hand and stopped when he came to a small pool of water in the ground. "Wait here" Johnny said. "I'll check it out." Johnny cautiously approached the pool, and saw that though small, it was far deeper than it appeared. "Maybe this is the underground stream." Johnny thought. He didn't see anything though, and was just turning to give the group the all clear, when a hand shot up through the surface of the water and grabbed Johnny's ankle. "Gah!" Yelled Johnny, surprised. Johnny fired his Tommy Gun into the water, hitting what ever had grabbed him. All of a sudden, the pool disappeared, covered by the tunnel floor as if it had never been there. Before Johnny could say anything to the group. a pool opened in the tunnel behind the group, blocking the way they had came. The band of explorers stepped away from the pool as a creature erupted out of the water. It was hideous. The creature looked like a bizarre hybrid of human and fish, with green-gray scales that covered it like armor, razor sharp claws and shark's teeth. As if that was not enough, a second, then a third creature climbed out of the pool and started advancing on the group. More and more creatures leaped out of the pool, red eyes blazing, and making screeching sounds that unnerved and nauseated Johnny. "Take them down!" Johnny yelled. He fired, hitting one in the head and sending it backwards in the pool. Still more monsters kept coming though, out for blood.
