I don't go to the movies to see a movie, I go to the movies for the social experience with my friends. To experience the anticipation of the show starting, to go to dinner afterwards, to play DDR in the arcade before. The movie itself is inconsequential.

Plus, Sony hasn't really shown they can be trusted with my credit card.
I'd say you're still paying $15 for two hours of entertainment, but I suppose only you can decide how much your time is worth.

You should definitely pick up the game when the price eventually drops though. Maybe buy a game card at the store rather than giving your credit card info to Sony.

As you may or may not have noticed, I like Okami. The game is gorgeous and oozes character with an amzing sountrack to boot.

Journey is my new Okami, it is gaming in it's purest form, it isn't trying too hard to be 'artsy', it isn't pretentious and it doesn't overstay it's welcome.

The 'multiplayer' is implemented brilliantly, appealing to our desire for companionship, but isn't essential. In all my years of playing videogames, I've never had such an emotional attachment with a stranger before, an experience shared without passing a single word.

The game looks gorgeous, the lighting is brilliant and I've never been so impressed by sand. The whole time I was in the desert, I just felt warm, while the snowy mountain was unforgiving harshness, me and my companion, huddling together, wondering if we'd get through this.

I wasn't following this game, I went in with no expectations and was rewarded with a truly brilliant gaming experience.

This isn't a review, just my opinion of the game, so feel free to share your thoughts too. If you have a PS3, you owe it to yourself to pick this up.

You won't be disappointed.
The multiplayer was interesting if anything. Honestly I feel underwhelmed, It was brief but interesting, 10 pounds is too much despite what you can say about quality.

I'd say this is an agreeable solution. Do prices ever drop on PSN? I've never bought anything on it and don't pay attention to the Sony's market tactics on it.

I actually don't know. I just kind of assumed they would, since that's how Steam operates.

Well Flower is half price at the moment, and that's made by the same dev team.

This game was moving.
The first time I met someone, I didn't really think much. Just another player.
But has we traveled, I felt nervous anytime I couldn't see my companion for a short period of time. I stuck close whenever there was danger. The last bit of the game was a bit emotional with how it is presented, especially if you have a companion.

The best thing about this game is that I get the same feelings every time I start a new journey.
For me, it was definitely worth the money.

Oh God, this just isn't fair. Now I want my PS3 back even more, but I'm still afraid it's going to crash like the last two did.

I played it a second time last night and got more emotional that I did the first time.

The game is just perfect, and that musical score is just brilliant.

So does this mean you going to change your avatar to a Journey related one instead in the future?
I admit that will be the one of the first game I will buy if I get a PS3. I really love the artsstyle and the flow of the animation.

But then nobody will recognise me :D

Plus, I really like my current avatar.

You were right. About everything.
That was just...wow! I don't even know how to describe what I just experienced.

Yeah, I just can't justify that myself.
Like I've said before, don't you ever go to the movies? A 2 hour movie can easily run you $15. And that's even for terrible movies.

This game is absolutely worth your time and money.
A movie usually runs me about $7. Never been to one that charged $15. That's ridiculous.

And again, not spending $15 on a 2 hour game that I might not even like and won't even be able to resell if I end up hating it. It's just not worth it and I can't justify it. And at least with a movie if you don't like it you can walk out halfway through and get your money back.

I'm sure it's a great game but $15 is a bit steep for me, especially for something so experimental. I'm just going to wait for it to go on sale.

This doesn't mean I don't appreciate art or whatever, it just means I'm broke.

Promise me that you'll buy it when it's on sale, and I won't send the Robotic Doom Badgers after you.

Coming back after buying and playing Journey. It took me just under 2 hours.

I'm without words. For sure one of my favourite games of all time, though I don't know where to put it. I want to put it above Okami (currently sitting at #1), but I don't have the heart to do it.

It really did feel like a journey. An epic quest for all time. I was intending on exploring everything, gathhering trophies, but then I met someone at the second chapter. It felt neat at first, but then I quickly grew attached. I even made my own language of chirps.

I took a picture of my second companion (I lost my first because he left me behind at the 4th chapter. Meanie) and I reaching the end. He was pretty far ahead, but at that final stretch he waited for me. It felt so good to see that, even if it was just a game. We went through some serious shit together, and it felt so rewarding to make it through together. We huddled together in danger, waited up when we were lost, and when one of us was in trouble we would come back, and we would help each other figure out a puzzle. This has to be the only time I felt something that rewarding through multiplayer in a game. I also took a picture of my companion list at the end. I must stalk people to thank them for the time we spent in the game (because I'm a weirdo).

Though on another note, I glitched into the floor three times lol. One of those times caused me to fall behind and lose my first companion.

I knew you'd like it :D

Anyone who enjoyed a game like Okami is pretty much guaranteed to like Journey.

I still don't know whether to buy Journey..

I'm not very good at puzzles or platformers... I just want to see what it's like.
The game really isn't all that challenging but still remains fun, especially surfing down sand dunes at awesome speeds.
Saw a gameplay vid of someone surfing down a dune at sunrise, got extremely jealous I didn't own a PS3.
