Alice gave Fei an odd look, obviously a little off as she began talking about how the book couldn't even get wet. She didn't know what kind of things they were referring to, but most of the books she had seen tended to not react too kindly to being doused in any kind of water. Tabby had seen to it that theory was tested here and there with her books.
"Oh! Taking a hydra with you? You....erm, could do that I think. Sometimes they are a bit more on the friendly side...but if you run into one of them that is much bigger, I wouldn't suggest it. They are very territorial about what they have, especially when they have...well, a lot of heads." Alice explained to Fei.
"But copying the book isn't any problem! I keep a spare copy over here just in case....which isn't quite as good as this one. But I think it will help...well, if you think it will help." Alice said, going under her bed to hunt for the other hidden book inside.
"Mm...there. Here you go. Don't worry too much about this one, just....don't show it around too much. I don't want the Lord Edgar finding out." Alice gave the small warning, going to hiding her original book back away. Going to her cabinet, she seemed to be taking out some studded armors, she began to slip into it, testing the different parts to make sure it was on tight, covering a majority of herself and looking much more warrior by every item attached.
"So...Lord Drew, what is it you intend now? The battle will probably be starting soon, and....well, I know you won't be participating. So, I don't know how you take to the bloodsports, but if not...I would suggest leaving soon..."

"Lord Alexander, you really thought I was coming out here with the intention of stopping you?" Jade said as she began running with Alexander as he made his way back to the original relic room that he knew of. As they made their way to the room itself, they came upon their initial problem. The door to the room of relics had been locked once again.
While they had been going along, with Alexander telling his shadow of all that had been happening and the information that had been gathered, the shadow seemed to be listening intently, at times almost seeming to say something but with Alexander talking consistently.
"So...you trust these other creatures from around here. I do not think it wise to trust the Edgar fellow, nor this woman at all, but it is your choice....Now if only I could figure out what these artifacts are doing....or why they are here. These do not belong here, Alexander. They are out of place...but then perhaps I am out of place here. Have you arrived? If so, then something is wrong with my...typical vision. Do you see...me? Or perhaps this Edgar fellow is not the man you think him to be, with these things here...."

In the meantime, at the party where Cale, Nydia, Silvana, and the newly arriving Gabriel had gone, the fight between the lords seemed to be nearing its completion, with Edgar taking a leap larger than most would expect and slamming the flat edge of his ax across Kane's head, causing the centaur to stumble backwards and toppled over to the ground. The cheering broke out through the room at the sight and blow after many others, and Edgar stepped over to the fallen lord with a hand extended.
"Damned fine work, my good Kane, but this time I am the winner! Get up, ya old horse, and take your defeat." Edgar laughed, his outfit of armor looking much worse for wear at this point but still largely intact. Pulling up the centaur, Edgar gave a wide wave and seemed prepared to make his announcement.
"Alright ladies and gents! Lets get the main show on the road! It has been fantastic, my fine guests, but you will have to finish your meals and come back later!" Edgar announced, and many drinks went up in acknowledgement and were downed almost as quickly as they had been gotten. Many centaurs and spirits began to file out of the castle, some making a run for it, others taking their time with some maids and spirits.
Meanwhile, on the dance floor, Rosa had been doing her dance, and seemed only satisfied with the dance that had been going on with Joey. He could keep up, but it seemed that was about it, which meant it was a bit more boring than she initially wanted. Though, when he went to the band she wanted to know what was going to happen with this particular dance. With the mention of belly dancing, she gave Joey a bit of a look which meant that she knew, but didn't much care for the suggestion.
As she was spun about though, she had grown tired of this 'dance', as it involved less dancing and more just moving in a rhythm, which was even more boring to her especially as it seemed this rogue just wanted to be close, not dance. When the announcement came out, she suddenly flashed a grin, and grabbed Horatio's arm. In one swift motion, she swung Horatio over her shoulder, and onto a nearby table. Most didn't even seem to pay any mind, busy making their way elsewhere, doing a bit of cleaning up, or taking a good chuckle at the scene as Rosa hovered over the now dazed Horatio.
"You could use a bit more practice in a couple ways. One of which is knowing what is a dance, and what is a rhythm to move with. I imagine your other colleagues got someone because of their....particular tastes. Oh well, it was interesting for a small while, even if it was for the wrong reasons...Try to stay out of trouble from now on...or you'll have a bit more to worry about than laying on a table." Rosa said with a smile as she turned and began walking away from the party.
