Ever since I joined the ranks of The Escapist, I have always had the habit of judging people based upon their avatar. It acts as a first impression, as your appearance and demeanor would in any real life scenario. It is an advertisement about yourself. I know of no sane individual who keeps a picture they hate as their avatar.
Think of it this way; would you wear an anti-(insert political party here) shirt to a convention of gamers and intellectuals? Not likely. Would you wear a shirt with a comedic phrase or an awesome picture from your favorite game or show? Hell yes. Although as avatars go, it seems some people would show up nude.
People derive their first impressions of others based on a glance at their avatar. I do it, and I believe that 99% of the community does as well to some degree. As an example, if I see a picture of Gir from Invader Zim, my first impression is that the person has an excellent sense of humor and is more than likely a bit spastic.
The Game
To participate, post a large picture of your avatar (if you are able, if not, state that you wish to be judged). Use spoilers please.
Pick someone who has posted their avatar in this topic and give what you see as your first impression of them based upon your portrayal of their avatar. PLEASE keep it respectful. I intend for this to be informative for those who wish to know what others think of them at first glance.
I, for one, am very curious to see what others think of my avatar.
Example
I'm gonna pick on MaxTheReaper, since he's everywhere anyway and he know what people think of his avatar. When I first joined The Escapist, I instantly judged his as emo because all of his avatars are very dark and brooding (I have sense learned otherwise Max). The first time I saw one of his avatars, I thought, "Oh no, this is gonna be angsty." I apologize Max.
So what does my avatar say about me?
