Brannigan sighed, and climbed out of the chopper, and walked over to the science facility. I flashed his tag at the obnoxious guard, and made his way through. "I hate this job." He said loud enough to irritate his supervisors, as he walked down the hall. He walked into his office, ignoring the large pile of papers that needed filing, and checked his email. Most of it was just spam and invoices, but one caught his eye. it was labeled "A negotiation." He quirked an eyebrow. "Well, you know about variety and spices." he clicked on the email and read it quietly to himself.

Jason climbed out of the helicopter, taking in the different sights and smells of the island. There was a walkway leading down into a facility, and Jason quickly walked down to the doors and waited to start the tour.

Peter followed the rest of the crowd upto the main facility. When the tourists went to sign in and what not he split of. Swiping his security pass, he entered the guards area. He signed in, grabbed a radio and picked up his weapon and a hand full of magazines from his locker. Slapping one home he ensured the safety catch was on. Slinging the high powered rifle over his shoulder he headed out through another door, through a series of corridors until he stepped through a door which lead out into bright sunlight, he pulled his hat forward on his head and stuck his glasses on. Grabbing a gas jeep he zipped round to the rapto pen. Parking up to the side of the main tower. Entering he relieved the warden on duty.

Lucas exited with the rest of the crowd, but didn't follow them. He made his way to the maintenance facility, checked his tool belt was still in his locker, then sat down in front of the various screens displaying the status of the park & facilities.

Nodding to the other mechanic on-duty, who grunted in reply, he settled himself in for several hours of monitors beeping and blinking at him.

Stonewall was at the dilophosaurus enclosure, he managed to get away from the rest of the crowd. He was locked in a staring contest with one of the younger ones. It made a few giggling noises and ran off... He left and went over to the next enclosure, the velociraptors deinonychus. It was labeled velociraptor, though. Must be a mistake. They were also completely bald, no feathers, no nothing.
"Strike one, Jurassic Park."

Peter stepped out of the top of the guard tower onto the small walkway that surrounded it at the top. A rail, just higher than the waiste ran round the top of the tower, mointed on top was a titanium reinforced cage, with gaps big enough so you could just fit you hand through. He took in the view, he saw it most days but he still liked to take it in. The jungle stretched for miles. the sound sof dinosaurs could be heard in the distance but little else.

Dr. Brannigan was out of his office, walking about the park. He had a lot on his mind. The offer was certainly an appealing one, but InGen did support him all these years. His thoughts were racing about. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a tourist who was talking to himself. "Strike one, Jurassic Park." He walked over to the man in his early 30's "Can I disprove you of any misgivings, Sir?" He said, in a mildly irritated voice. "After all, if someone questions your greatest achievement, you can't help but shut them down." He thought to himself.

"Dromeosaur pattern baldness, eh?"
He turned to the employee. Certainly not a scientist. Or at least he didn't look like one.
"Say, these dinos must be clones, they expire twice as fast, certainly you must have a walk in freezer full of bodies. Mind if I get a good look at them?"
This park was made some time before 1998, before any solid proof of dino feathers, if they changed it to something more accurate, people would have taken notice immediately. They might have an excuse that would keep them safe... If everyone one here was an idiot.
[sub]"The 'scientists' sure are."[/sub]

Somewhere in here, a few people are going to have to killed by dinos, can I be on that list (for later, I mean)?

Lucas got up, went over to the company fridge, opened it, and found that someone had taken his soda.

Shit. Not a good start to the day.

Grabbing a bottle of water instead, he drank some, then took it back to his chair, careful to avoid putting it near the electronic equipment.

As he did, he noticed a small dot blinking slowly on a screen; somewhere around the raptor cage, if his memory served. Obviously nothing important, probably just a light-bulb broken by some idiot tourist. Still, he had to check it out.

He walked to the door, opened it, and went out.

Yeah we're still open, and you're character's legit.
"That was my doing. When we reconstructed them, They originally had feathers. Now people don't really care, but scientists Don't like to be told they're wrong. We had to sort of dumb down nature you see, 'cause we'd look real unprofessional if someone said 'Hey, they don't have feather's it's a fake! I'll bet it's all animatronics' so we bred the feathers out with another species, killed off the parents, and kept the genetics. Now we can say that fossils show that Raptors had feathers, we can 'Well just take a look at a real one, do you see feathers?" Brannigan looked at the raptors for a moment. "Millions of years of history, rewritten to suit the reputation of an amusement park. Ain't capitalism grand? I can show you the real velociraptors' corpses, if you really wanna see 'em."

Lucas found the problem easily; an interactive kiosk was frozen on the directions screen.

After a few minutes, he fixed it up and turned back towards the office.

As he did, he overheard a scientist and some tourist talking about the raptors. They always had questions, the tourists; most of the time they only asked him for directions to the nearest toilets.

He hung back for a moment to listen in.

"That'd be great. But one more thing, how'd you make up for the lost DNA? Millions of years decay, even in amber, there'd still be too much missing."
They could easily prove that the dinos were real if they just cut open one from the walk-in freezer. Yet they chose to do breed out the feathers for fear of being questioned on the subject... Strike two, JP.

Dr. Brannigan didn't like this guy so much. He was smart. Probably too smart. And he questioned Brannigan's work. He didn't want the feather's removed, but then they'd have to bring more scientists out to the park in its early stages, and the time they brought Dr. Grant out to the park was pushing it enough. They would have stolen his work. "I actually came up with the system for replicating the DNA, There was some missing, but a suprisingly large amount remained intact. The truth is, we've been finding remnants like this for years and buying them up. The Mosquito was our "Rosetta Stone" so to speak. From their we filled some minor gaps in the DNA by looking at bird DNA, and other close relatives. We have a minimum of at least 97% of the DNA decoded for each species.

"Well, I guess that's all I need to know, I don't want to seem nosy or anything, just curious."
This place is pretty fishy. I think I'll hold back on the questions for now. I don't want them thinking I'm here to expose their secrets... I am, but they shouldn't know that.

Are we ging to get some directions?
Sorry, I tend to do this. I kinda get wound up in the story and then forget I have to write it too. My character actually is the gamechanger, so It'll be coming soon. And for time being, I'll throw you guys a bone.
As Brannigan and the tourist were heading up to the research facility, the sky looked grey and ominous. Rain was on it's way. Just then, the loudspeaker crackled to life. "All park guards report to the Pachycephalosaur pen, code 2." Brannigan sighed. "Another code 2? the damn things get scared of rain clouds, of course they'll get really riled up. Just hope they don't get the gall to stampede again. C'mon, let's get to the facility. By the way, what's your name? I don't think I got the "pleasure" of introducing myself. I'm Dr. Brannigan. Basically the big cheese when it comes to dinosaur genetics."
