Untrue. How did Columbine happen? Illegally sold guns. The two kids involved with Columbine bought all of their guns illegally.
I have no idea how it happened. I was eight, I didn't know or care. Now I'm eighteen I don't really want to venture into that sort of thing (except to say that games aren't the problem). Secondly, even if what you say is true (and Wikipedia agrees :p), it still wouldn't have happened if gun restrictions were tightened up harder. I'm still trying to decide how hard due to arguments I've heard for and against guns recently, but my previous idea was that it would be far better if only the police (and soldiers, obvious) were allowed to carry guns.
You see that seems alright in theory. However many of us do not feel safe with only a selective group of people carrying weapons. Most of maintain the right to own guns because we have the right as people to have that power and defend ourselves. Remember when only the people in power are allowed to have guns, that is the first few steps in the forming of a dictatorship.

The police are generally uncorrupt (generally). I think the police carrying them only is fine and, given the current state of America and Britian that I know of, won't lead to a dictatorship.

Hey for the most part I trust most cops too. However it is just a common belief here that if someone invades your home, you have the right to pump their ass with a few rounds of 10mm bullets.

I'm not a huge fan of sports but american football can be pretty brutal. Especially when your playing it with your family after you had a few too many and old rivalries start to spark up and next thing you know I am knocked out on the field and my uncle and my cousing get into a fight as to how it happened.

Ha! Not in England! In England, you'll be the one in trouble for causing "undue stress" to the burglar. It's not a one-off event either, it seems that the whole "don't fight back" attitude is actual law now. And please? A few? I'd empty a P-90 into them if I could...

The Europeans had a corner on violence for the last two thousand years, It's our turn now...

American Football players are worth millions of dollars... each, so it's in our best interest that we protect them. Plus have you seen a average professional rugby player up close??? there battered, have cauliflowered ears, and are often just plain ugly from having there faces bashed in over and over again...

Perhaps. But then and again, arguing about sports is like arguing who's hair colour is the best.
I could care less about some sports, like why American football is called football.

The rest, I basically couldn't care less about.
I believe a more apt name for American Football is Ovalball. It's not really an egg, per se, more of an oval ;)
Ah. So, Handoval, then?

I think that's a fair name :)

so what? american sports tend too be pussy, and european sports tend to be fatal?
Americans tend to be war mongers and europeans tend to be far too fashionable.
we all know the stereotypes.
its only about 2/3 true anywho.
and yes its hypocritical.
