I can do this with some things. I don't much like Lady Gaga, but she's talented. I despise Michael MacIntyre, but I accept that he is a clever, talented comedian who many people find funny.

Twilight, on the other hand? I don't like it. But it's not GOOD. Just because some people like it doesn't make it good. It's awful. Sometimes popular things *are* just bad.

Very observant OP. I have been harping about things like this for years. Pop star may be disliked by some but loved by many which probably means there is something to them. People tend to over look that fact.

Same with Lady Gaga, although her vocal talent definitely surpasses that of Ke$ha.
Lady Gaga actually down plays her talent which I find hilarious.

Actually, Lady Gaga has so much talent she sweats platinum records.
She is a talented singer. She's weird as HELL, but she's got talent.

AND she writes her own stuff. Which is more than most pop artists can say these days.
Actually, a lot of pop stars do write their own lyrics (i don't know about the music). It is just that their lyrics are really stupid. Example, Ke$ha's Tik Tok, I have listened to that song many times because it gets in my head and won't get out without industrial tools. Those lyrics really don't make sense which makes sense since she wrote them in a drunken stupor.
