.Hack//G.U. Volumes 1,2,and 3.

As much as I love me some .Hack those were PS2 exclusive.

OT: Metroid Prime 1/2,great games that you can get for about 6 buck combined

Paper Mario:TTYD,a funny and fun as hell JRPG

Resident Evil 4,a really great action game, but not so scary.

Viewtiful Joe 1/2: A pair of side scrolling beatem ups set in a world of movie and pop culture parodies.

Everyone's suggestions are quite good and I'd recommend them as well. I'd also like to throw in Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos: Origins. Both are excellent RPGs.
This, This, Oh my fucking god, This!!!

The first one is the best RPG I have ever played, and I have played tons of Rpg's in my time, even Chrono Trigger.

An absolute must play in my opinion.

Also, Eternal Darkness, Killer 7, MGS: Twin Snakes, Metroid Prime, Pikmin 2, Paper Mario:TTYD, and Twilight Princess.

You can't go wrong with any of those.

Soul Calibur 2
Ikaruga
Twilight Princess (Miles better than the Wii version in my opinion)
F-Zero GX
Killer 7

Everyone else already took the ones I was going to suggest

This being the Escapist, It will take some effort to think of a GC game worth mentioning that hasn't been said 5 times (these guys have great taste).

Hmm.... Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Only one mention and I feel like it gets so much crap for being a 3d sonic game, when it's actually very, very fun. Also Chao garden. That shit absorbed years of my life.

Spiderman 2 was pretty damn good, much more like newer games (prototype, infamous) than the other spiderman games.

Of course, Mario Kart, Mario Sunshine, Everything Zelda, RE4(!!!), Eternal darkness, Viewtiful Joe, Metroid prime, Luigi's mansion. But they're obvious.

Most of whats been mentioned already.

I'd add in Lost Kingdoms and LK2.

Its a real time, monster summoning card battle game set in a big open world, its good if you like collecting things like I do, and its fighting is fun, theres plenty of different monsters to keep things interesting! the Sequel is a lot better, but its better to play the first one first, collect all the cards and then you can copy them to the sequel when you beat the main story (better to have one of every card as you can only do this once).

Too bad for me, I was going to recommend this.

Have fun with that game, it's amazing. One of the most amazing games ever.

My favorite GameCube games are:

F-Zero GX
Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door
Tales of Symphonia
Baten Kaitos Origins
Custom Robo
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

There are other good ones too, but these are some of my favorites.

Skies of arcadia Legends (Especially if you didn't have a Dreamcast)

Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2+3 (Though 2's the better, 3 has 2 for multiplayer)

Anyway...Rogue Squadron II is good if you like space combat.

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is a game I have very fond memories of (I remember playing it twice in a row on my roommates Xbox in college just so I give every character ample play time). I haven't played it in a long time though, so I don't know how it has aged.

And...that's all I can think of. I skipped most of that whole generation. I need to go back and catch up on some games from then myself.
I contemplated once selling my Wii for a Gamecube, but then I remembered the Wii is essentially a Gamecube in a different body.

The only games I can think of that I haven't yet seen listed is the Gamecube Resident Evil remake. For the time, the graphics were absolutely phenomenal, and by today's standards, they still look really fuckin' good. And it's a really fun game. :x

If you have the appropriate multiplayer peripherals, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, the first one, is a great introduction into the Final Fantasy franchise.

At least, it was for me.

Now that you mention it, that is kind of puzzling. The Wii is even compatible with Gamecube controllers and memory cards, so there wasn't really any point to the OP selling his Wii.
I'm completely convinced that playing Gamecube games is what broke my first Wii. Thing never sounded right when there was a GC game in it, and ultimately it ended up scratching my Wii games.

So I'm not putting any GC games in my current Wii. If I want to play WW (and I do, desperately), I'll either get a GC just for that or wait and hope they re-release it on the WiiU, which I'm almost completely certain they will, since they re-release everything else.

I do think it a bit silly to sell a Wii and then buy a Gamecube.

I'm trying not to focus on that angle, though.

With three friends, 4 game boy advances, 4 link cables, and a copy of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, you'll have yourself one hell of a time. Because i know i sure did. Some aspects are a little rough to get used to (forcing a player to always carry the chalice), but as a whole it is alot of damn fun.

If you do not own TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect on any other system, this would be a good time to repent for your sins.

Sega Soccer Slam. It's what Mario Smash Football was later based on. Also, Crazy Taxi.
