I'd recommend getting your hands on a wavebird controller if possible, by far the best wireless controller to come out for ANY system of that generation. As for games, I'd say Resident Evil 4, it has been ported and redone so many times but I stand by that original GC version as being the absolute best. Resident Evil Zero and Remake are also good but you may have trouble finding them for a reasonable price from what I've heard. I've heard good things about Eternal Darkness but never got to play it. There was another game, I can't remember the name at the moment but you could astral project your mind and jump into the heads of npcs in the area, It'll probably come back to me, anyway it always looked interesting.

I was gonna say Smash Bros but you already have that, that's probably the #1 most important one to have picked up.

F-Zero GX (still my favorite racing game of all times)
Soul Calibur 2 (the best fighting game the Cube has to offer, second to Smash Bros.)
Wario Ware Inc. (this is the party game you should get, forget about Mario Party)
Metal Gear The Twin Snakes (this remake is criminally overlooked, much better than the original IMO)
Resident Evil (aside from the remake of the first game, almost every single RE is available in the Cube, including 4)
Metroid Prime 1 & 2 (I don't care if I'm sounding like a broken record, but there's a reason why it's highly recommended in this thread)

It was recommended already but it bears repeating. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. This is the sole reason for owning a Gamecube. Get it immediately.

You seem to have forgotten both Metroid Prime games.

I didn't forget, I just didn't care for the Metroid Prime games.
