I played The Legend of Zelda: The twilight Princess. That's enough to sour anyone's mood...
Thats not complaining, this is how you complain about Twilight Princess.
Once again another frikken Link and Zelda have replaced the ones we grew up with and loved, even though they are hardly any different in anyway but I still don't see the point. I mean, the continuation from Ocarina of Time to Majora's Mask was awesome, why the fuck don't they keep the story going, making slight differences everytime to make it more interesting?
Nintendo has definitely lost their magic touch, TP is all over the place when it comes to difficulty. I found the game kind of difficult at the beginning but as soon as I changed human again, doing the temples while collecting items, it was shit easy! The temples in TP are just less interesting versions than the ones in OoT. I did all of them in one day easy and half the bosses didn't even hit me once, they weren't challenging at all, this game didn't improve on anything, it's just a different version again. New games with new mistakes.
Another thing I didn't like in TP was that it was forcing me into places to complete the game straight away, I liked it more when I had to go discover new areas for myself while being able to look at other things as well. It's the same with the new Metroid games, instead of letting you figure out the puzzles it just tells you what to do after a little time. Do new gamers need help with in game challenges from the game itself these days? WTF! All anyone needed to do is go on the internet and look up a walk-through or you could probably still find them in magazines.
That's not all either, Mario Kart Wii and SSB Brawl had all the strategy and advanced techniques taken out of it to make it easier. Who the hell thinks this is a good idea? It doesn't make it easier anyway, it just makes the game shallow and less interesting once again. Brawl and MKW have fuck all replay value compared to the games before it, and the game play isn't the only thing they ruined! To me these are shitty games, crappy quality like most music and movies released this decade.
Nintendo aren't the only ones that suck recently, EA just amaze me at how terrible they are when it comes to developing strategy games. I will never forgive them for Tiberium Wars, such a bad game compared to Red Alert 2 and Generals, which is where they got their inspiration, they just shouldn't be allowed to make strategy games since they are so fucking clueless! I don't understand how professionals could make so many little mistakes these days when they all learn from the older games that are almost flawless. It's not like they need to be completely original, just something a little different from the same old shit. Check out Metal Fatigue, this game came out of nowhere, it was ahead of it's time with all the new technology and great graphics for back then. Those developers got their inspiration from old strategy games and then they make their own with huge customizable robots while being able to fight on land, sky, sea and underground. /super rant
Now thats complaining
