Has anyone ever just found that they don't want to play a game any more?
I mean, not when you're 100+ hours into fallout, or you've prestiged five times in COD and can't do it again. When you bought AC 1 and nearly finished it, and then bought AC 2 and got...two missions in and then never played it again.

Anyone else ever get completely turned off a game, for no apparent reason?

Well yeah ..... final fantasy X-2.

But I guess the reason for that is sorta obvious.

Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia: the Forgotten Sands, and Halo: ODST. See, I started using Gamefly this summer and I always felt a subconscious pressure to all play the games on my list before the summer was over (wasn't even close...stupid long shipping times). I definitely could have finished these three games but I just didn't feel like it. I might go back to them later in life.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I think I'm about 25% into it and I just...don't want to keep going. It's not that it's particularly bad, it just doesn't endear itself to me. I'm not playing it multiplayer and that's probably the main issue, this game seems to be solely designed to be played with other people and without that, there's just nothing.

Nazi Zombies is starting to wear thin on me but I expect for black ops to revitalize the spark.

Im really tired of searching for those damned serpents in Brutal Legend.

Fallout 3 getting to me with all the washed out colors.

I never finished (and i'm never in the mood to start playing it again) LoZ: Twilight Princess ... which is weird, because I completed every other Zelda game :|

World of Warcraft. Bought it only a few months after it came out and got all the expansions when they were released, yet I never made it past level 68. Go figure. Played it for 3 weeks per year, tops.

Final Fantasy XIII. I honestly believed XII (which I started, got 30 hours into and never played again) was just an isolated incident, and that XIII would captivate me from start to finish. Turns out, not so much.

More surprisingly, Batman: Arkham Asylum. It's an amazing game, there's no denying that, but when I sat down to play through the game again on the harder difficulty setting, I found myself swiftly losing interest. I'm not entirely sure why, but I think it's because I already know how the game plays out, and much of the appeal, for me, lies in not knowing what kind of insane traps the Joker's set up for you.

Mass effect 1, I played it until I got the spectre rank, and the ship(that's about 2 hours in I think) then I just stopped playing it, didn't want to play anymore, then I picked it up again...a year later:p

And a wii game, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New world, direct sequal to the tales of symphonia on teh GC, one of my favourite games ever, don't really know how far I am, but just don't want to continue atm.

Dragon Age: Origins I got about 55 hours in and then just sorta lost interest. Of course the fact that that game kept my interest for that bloody long is testament to its quality.

I did immediately lose interest in Armored Core: Silent Line. Which is because they charged me half my paycheck for ammunition and repairs, bullets don't cost that bloody much.

Assassins Creed 1. After the game wanted me to do the same style of mission for the third time I cut it off. I just picked up the sequel however, and so far am enjoying it much more.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this game, then I got to the very last level, and couldn't be bothered to complete it.

I would say Red Dead Redemption hit that note for me, but that's not accurate, as I know exactly why I got sick of that: The main character.

As far as games I really liked, but lost interest in and have yet to revisit, Yakuza 3 heads up that list. It was awesome, I loved it, I got distracted about 10 hours in and have yet to pop it back in.

Assassin's Creed II.
Was deep into the game and loving it, then one day I just could not be arsed.
I did pick it up again yesterday, though, for £10!

Starcraft 2.

Failing at the missions with time limits (may it be you have x amount of time to attack here, or you have x amount of time to not die). So frustrating.
