Just finished portal 2...my thourghts and speculation (spoilers)

I completely agree with you. Portal 2 is an amazing game. I'd never played portal the first, and didn't know if it would be any good (i rarely believe hype about games, to avoid disappointment)
but i was surprised by portal 2. The story line worked, the game itself mindfucked me (in a good way) and the ending was fantastic. And most importantly of all? I had fun. Through out the game, it was fun, fun, fun. I loved the game.


By the way, you've spelt thoughts wrong in the title. Thought you ought to know.

if you did go back and play the first one you might find it a little underwhelming since its bascially the gaming equivalent of minimalism, but its still a great game

I dont really think one is better than the other, they are hard to compare, I feel like portal 1 is a tutorial for portal 2 almost

I also love about portal 2 (this may sound silly) but they actually show chells hands, its liek because now shes actually a charachter, they also refer to her as "her" once, because in portal one aside form actually seeing chell she could have been a robot

Wait you didn't beat the Co-op?! But that's the best part by far.

The normal tests are all quite easy, the coop ones actually have a few difficult puzzles.

I also enjoyed Portal 2 though, glad to see people are buying it.

I probably would find it a bit underwhelming but it would be more of a puzzle game. I know people complained about portal 2 being more story based rather then puzzle based.

the reason I left the rest of this in, instead of just using the bit that was relevant to me is because, i also got stuck at parts. I did try the Co-op mode with a mate (while drunk and at 2 in the morning, but we still tried it) and it was relatively straight forward. you put one there, i put on here, bing bang, done. I'm sure some of the later levels would be harder (we got to about half way through the light bridges levels) but we decided to play mortal kombat for a bit, then blacked out at about 7 in the morning... good times...
