Inspired by the thread about "try hards," what do you do in a game that's solely for your enjoyment?

For example, I still play Modern Warfare 2 and I run around with the Riot Shield. Yeah, I die more than I kill. Yeah, I hear people on both the other and my team talk shit to me. But you know what? It is damn fun to see someone spray me with bullets before I walk up and nudge them with a big piece of plastic. So, what do you do that doesn't achieve victory, but lets you have a good time?

I have a real penchant for doing up hopeless old cars in Gran Turismo 5, 99% of the time they fall flat on their faces, but it's worth it for that 1% when i finally beat those damned Lotus Elises with a DeLorean!

Killzone 3, I love to run around with the revolver and just keep poping shots at others.

No matter what shooter I'm playing, I always use the pistol. Sure, if I used an assault rifle I would do better, but there's no better satisfaction then taking someone down face to face with the pistol and knowing that they feel bad about it.

Pistol only runs of early TR games are something I've done forever.

Also, at the moment I'm partway through a F:NV file using only melee weapons. Tonight I clubbed the entire basement of the RepConn test site to death with a lump of concrete on a stick.

Lots of pointless base jumping. In many different games. Saints Row 2, Just Cause 2, GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, and Prototype. It's just too fun!

Captcha: jump off
Quit spying on me dammit!

I leave my house in the dead of night in Minecraft with nothing but a bow and a stack of arrows. I hunt creepers until either the sun comes up or I'm dead. That's what the bastards get for blowing open a wall in my mine that apparently bordered a lake of lava several blocks deep.

i like to use weapons or items in ways there not intended like like using magic and arrow to break boxes or trying to use a grenade to open a chest.

Me? Several things

As I said before, I enjoy breaking the gameplay in an RPG. 3.5 ed is really easy to exploit in this regard.

Enable God mode in an RTS and wipe out all who oppose me with a single character.

Roleplay as a weird combo in an RPG, like a Tiefling Monk, a Drow Paladin, or an Aasimar Ranger for instance. Something that is just... weird.

Camping. When ever I hear people who are pissed that last game some kid had a heart beat sensor, clay mores, and noob tubes I help myself to my "noob" class armed with all these.

Call of Duty and Call of Duty: United Offensive I would run around and bash people with the butt of my rifle until they died. Then Call of Duty had to take away beating people with rifles.
Sometimes in TF2 I play as Scout (I'm terrible at Scout)

Melee/unarmed in NV is hilarious tbh.

Either using the giant swing with sledgehammer and sending enemies flying...and beaing up Deathclaws in your fists :3

Pretty much everything I do in a game is "for teh lulz". But most recently, in L.A. Noire, I've been going out of my way to grab the 'Chicago Piano' from the trunk to use in every firefight. Even if it exposes me to enemy gunfire, or requires me to run to where the car is parked 100 feet away. Even if there's only one guy with a pistol shooting at me.

The simple fun that can be obtained from spraying rapid-fire lead and spattering a wall with a criminal's blood is well worth the inconvenience.

Flying into the blocked off areas in San Andreas, thereby attaining instant five star wanted level and leading to lots of wacky good times.

Taking on giant monsters unarmed or with the weakest weapons in the game. It's always very satisfying when I do win.

Laying out 160 mines in one spot and waiting for some unsuspecting idiot to walk into them and go flying into the sun. See also: mine dominoes.

Buffing up speed and acrobatics to ridiculous levels and seeing how far I can jump across Cyrodil. Good times.

As a soldier, damaging myself to around 30 HP and using the Equalizer.

It's consistently the most fun I've ever had on TF2.

You can tell when an enemy sees you coming thinking "OHSHITOHSHITOHSHITOHSHIT"

Using what is provided by a game in pointless ways. Like building a bunker of books in Morrowind or killing the enemies in Assassin's Creed by spamming shin kicks at them.
