What's next, Baby Wee-Wee, Laser Guns, Supersoakers, Tamagotchi's, frikken pogs!?

Some things are just best left in the 90's, especially the abominations that were furbies.

The eyes... the eyes...

I took the batteries out of mine when I was a kid because I decided I didn't like my toys to have personalities other than the ones I gave them.
And it waking me up in the middle of the night by saying `FEED ME! AHAHA!` may have had something to do with it.

Thank God. For a second, I thought this was going to be about Toys R Us secretly supporting traditional marriage groups and how our purchases of legos and board games all suddenly carry immense moral implications.

This is better (though not by much)

Hopefully bringing back the Furbies will share the same fate when they try to bring back the Tamagotchi years ago.
But... I loved my Tamagotchi.... *sniff*

Is it strange that I actually WANT to go to a toy store now? Not because of the Furbies but, I just haven't bought a good 'ol action figure in quite a few years.

OT:Some random girl gave me one those when I was 4. That's it.

I had a Furby when I was a kid. I got bored of it pretty quickly so I used to abuse it. I strapped it to the top of my R/C car and drove it around and crashed in to things. I think I mentally scarred it. That was real good fun.

I was born into the Funzo generation THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

In all honesty though, Furbies were much more preferable to Tomagotchis. For one, you could turn them off. They didn't keep you up all night and distracting you all day with their incessant bleeps and whistles. They didn't force you to feed them or pick up their poop or play with them. And they didn't die on you while you were away at camp...

Sometimes at night I lie awake, hearing that beeping noise over and over again. Incessantly tunneling away at my subconscious, chipping away bit by bit my memories as a child and days long 'ere past of innocence and mirth...

As far as I'm aware, Super Soakers never left, same as peeing dolls. As for Tamagotchis, they did make a comeback in the mid 2000s (I remember getting one and several of my fellow classmates got some too).

And $60 USD? That's insane! On that note, how much were they in the 90s?

I like Furbys...Furbies? Meh

They remind me of my childhood, kinda. They are cute...just not very cuddly since they are hard.

They were around $20-$35 Canadian in the 90's. $60 ss a little ridiculous.

I was like in preschool/kindergarten when those things first came out. I hope they continue this trend and rerelease Pokemon Yellow and Tamagotchi's.
Also what's up with it's eyes, the fuck. I can't what to see what almost 20 years has done to the Furby tech.

Fortunately, I've never seen one in person. However, I doubt I would have wanted one had they been around when I was a kid. I probably would have been creeped right the fuck out.

When I was a kid, I had a grey one that sat at the foot of my bed. I used to lie awake at night terrified that it was going to come to life and drink my blood.

;___; I don't like this.

Why have toys become so expensive?
$60 for that? You're pulling someone's chain right there.
Also, yes, creepy

Alright, who the hell fell into a time hole and brought that abomination back?

Well? Someone's gotta have to take responsibility for this, and nostalgia is no excuse for this!

Not something you want coming to life!
Only if you rip the fur off, and those things are frightening without the fur....

....And if you try to set it on fire and then hear it try to talk...not that I've done that. >.>
