In all fairness who is world smart at that age? Most twenty somethings I know don't know jack about the real world...RogueDarkJedi said:Yeah, he's some guy that a bunch of girls on twitter won't shut the hell up about. Meh, even if you only do it on occasion, its still more than most. The reason I try and avoid most political arguments is because as soon as I hit it I know I'm gonna have to avoid any evidence given as chances are its complete bullshit and instead have to focus on a motive/common sense orientated argument.Eukaryote said:Unfortunately I do that too unless something I say is questioned for validityKurokami said:Good on you, really. Most people just pick up the flaming torches they keep next to the box of fuel they use for arguments.Eukaryote said:Apparently he thought the interviewer was saying "Jew man."
He backed this up by linking a video on Twitter of an earlier interview in which he counted in German and translated his name.
[sub]Yes, I know that is a little more research than I should have done as a non-fan. However, I don't like to be wrong so I fact check whenever something I say has been called in to question, which it was in this case earlier on.[/sub]I am getting better but nobody is perfect.

He is Canadian. This is one of the few things you can't blame on us Americans...Dyp100 said:I like it that is what everyone uses that as an example of Germany. -Isn't bitter, I swear-BlindMessiah94 said:The fact he doesn't know what "German" means even after reading the card is just...well idiotic.

But lolzzz. Stupid American kid is stupid. Maybe he was just having a brain fart, (but unlikely, I bet) but the Wiki host was nice enough not to make him feel stupid about it.
are you sure i think some of my friends went to the same school as him, though it was French immersionEukaryote said:He was home-schooled, so maybe his parents didn't teach him to read.reg42 said:Yeah I saw that a while ago, but... I didn't think it was true!

No, but of course you can try manipulate their values against their argument, hopefully having them collide and making them see how their method can defeat their purpose. (as you said, you're both fighting for a better life/society etc, the difference should be in how to get there) This isn't always done well however and just ends up getting me people heated.Eukaryote said:I try to avoid political arguments but I fail miserably because of how outspoken I am. The problem with political arguments is that politics is subjective, and not based off of evidence. As much as I like to think that the right thing to do is to improve society through social services and regulation so it is a better place to live for me and my fellow man not everyone agrees with that, and I cannot give(nor can they) any evidence that proves any argument to be the correct one.
