So my friend comes over earlier, and as I'm making us some sandwiches, he inquires as to where I keep my ketchup, to which I reply "In the fridge". Suddenly he flips the fuck out like it's some mortal sin to keep the ketchup in the fridge. This also isn't the first time one of my friends has asked me in a very complaining tone why I keep my ketchup in the fridge. It's very simple, I like my ketchup cold. In fact, I like a lot of my condiments cold. Ketchup, mustard, certain flavors of barbecue sauce, all in the fridge.

So, where do you keep your condiments, most specifically your ketchup, and why?

You mean that's not normal? Huh... Perhaps I should start keeping the ketchup outside the fridge. Never crossed my mind to do it any differently.

I think ketchup is the only one that we keep in the pantry. The mustard, mayonnaise, relish, BBQ sauce and others are all in the fridge.

Just checked, we keep the ketchup in the fridge as well.

I keep my ketchup in the fridge, it goes bad otherwise. I've never heard of doing otherwise.

Sir, I do believe your friends are crazy. Perhaps criminally so. Invest in a local strait-jacket store.

Wait... Ketchup isn't surposed to go in the fridge? Does it make a difference. I also like condements cold as well. It contrasts with warm food (or foods at room tempreture) and brings out the taste more in my opinion, but then again I'm only analysing food condements and it's not that big of a deal.

I thought keeping condiments in the fridge was normal. *Mindfuck*

As you can tell, I keep mine in the fridge.

I used to keep it in the fridge. Until a friend of mine (who uses the same brand) gave me a sandwiche that didn't have any clots in it. He told me it was because he didn't keep it in the fridge. So now I know why.

Ketchup goes in the fridge. Where else would you put it? Other condiments that go in the fridge include mustard, Grey Poupon, relish, mayonnaise, salad dressings, butter, cream cheese, NOT peanut butter, and butterscotch sauce.

Ketchup belongs in the fridge. I enjoy the contrast of cold ketchup against hot whatever. Your friend is clearly mental.

I keep mine in the cabnet. Sure it goes bad earlier, but literally every food I would ever put ketchup on is something that needs to be hot, so cold ketchup isn't an option, especially with french fries and shit of that nature.

If you keep things like ketchup, pickles and jam in the fridge then it probably just means that you have a lot of free space in the fridge. It might stop it going off for a bit longer.
