I can't stop watching this Casey kid, what a throw. Give Casey a medal and give the wee kid a bullet to the back of the head.

I'm all for self-defense and standing up to a bully when it's the last resort. I myself had to confront my own bully when ignoring him did nothing and asking the teachers wouldn't result in anything, when I didn't confronted him, he never bothered me again.

However, a kid of that size, he could have easily broken his fuckin' neck. I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt him like that, since he was in a short fit of rage, but I don't think this should be cheered or encouraged as much as it is.

He stood up for himself after who knows how long he was bullied, yay!

Possibly paralyzing or killing the bully, nay!
Considering how some kids get access to weapons to deal with the bully or kill themselves, it's the least we should be freaking out over. The kid threw him down sideways, if he intended to, he could've done alot worse.

Yes, he could've killed the bully, but it was obviously not his intent and we should be glad for that, as some gone a far lot worse.

The bully got what he deserved, people like him make others suffer to the point of ending their own life so they can feel bigger about themselves, and telling people rarely works. Sadly, this is the world we live in and we should be glad Casey had self control, 'cause he could've continued on by curb stomping the kid or strangling him while he was down.

Trust me, when you're in a fit of rage, when you snap. You don't think about how or what, you just do. Only afterwards do you calm down and consider what you've done.

As Much as i like Casey he doesn't seem to be the person who knows how to punch.

The evidence in the video shows me six things,
1. This was a premeditated assault on someone, by having the camera ready
2. The Bully taunted him, provoked him numerous times before Casey even responded with a block
3. The Bullies cam in a pack and were ready to step in had Casey got into a fight, the bigger kid at the end of the video, and the people cheering in the background
4. Casey only wanted toput the bully down, not attack as shown, when he back off away after dropping him
5. That this was just for the amusement of the bullies as the rat kid went straight over to the camera after with a sheepish smile trying to defend himself
6. Casey thought he had done wrong by lashing out, as he then just walked away not wanting to fight.

Good work Casey, What you have done was show maturity, and a clear head when a lot of better people would have let their rage and anger kick the crap out of his friends. Well done and i hope you land on your feet.

"Don't Punch Casey cause he's close to the edddddge,
He'll launch you into a gar-den bed".

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Every child should learn to take a piledriver; it builds character. Why, when I t'were a lad I was piledrivered on two seperate occasions, three miles through rain and snow (uphill both ways, naturally), and it never did me any harm.

Hang on, where am I? Who am I? Who's that angry man in a trilby?
Pooooooooooor Jono, *tut* *tut* *tut* if you can hear me can you please tell me the identity of your avatar, I know ive seen him before but I cant place it?

I saw this video and instantly started crying. My heart goes out to Casey! I felt humiliated for him as I watched him get punched not once but twice in the face. I can only imagine the pain he was feeling. I support what he did 100%, Maybe it will teach the little skinny brat to leave people alone! the little brats mother wants Casey to apologize ? WTF! She needs to teach her kid how to be a better human being..TEAM CASEY ALL THE WAY!!

The best thing to do with bullies is to destroy them - turn them into a non-bully. This is not as difficult as it sounds - the bully is already very interested in you - simply come to understand why the bullying is taking place (understand both the bully and yourself and hence the interaction between the two) and either change yourself or change the bully so that the interaction no longer need occur.

Bullying isn't a matter of picking on the weak - it's picking on a threat. Understanding the threat (why the bully is threatened by you) is very useful to resolving the situation.

It's completely wrong (and not just morally) to stop bullying by means of making the bully afraid. The bully is trying to resolve an interpersonal issue so do him a favor and help him resolve it rather than beating him into submission.

We need to understand that many people find "pacifistic" people threatening since in their mind these people must have some source of power that allows them security without the threat of violence. The strength of pacifists (which I don't believe in but bullies do) is a threat which bullies seek to destroy.

Bullies are very susceptible to becoming pacifists themselves. They won't do so if they learn that pacifists are easily corrupted by a few punches.

Many people on this messageboard believe in the "weakness" theory of bullying rather than the "threat" theory because it allows them to take revenge upon the bully, which is what they really want. Too many people here are like the main character from The Social Network.

You know how awesome this kid is? The Encyclopedia Dramatica page on him is nothing but complementary of this kid's awesome feat of pure win. When ED praises you, you KNOW you're awesome!

Given how the frailness of the bully and Caseys raw strength, a punch in a fit of rage could be enough to cause internal bleeding, dislocate the nose segment, or break a jaw. All of wich are perilous for your life. People dont realize we are extremely fragile in some parts, and extremely strong in others. Your whole neck area is an invitation to mass paralisis, internal and external hemorrage, infection, etc etc.

I love how the little guy tries to hobble back up to the big guy. Why am I not surprised that this kid didn't learn his lesson?

I have to be honest. When I was that kid's age(and his size too) I beat the tar out of my bullies and they didn't mess with me anymore unless they were just plain stupid. It was only when I try to let the school teachers handle it did the bullies get away with doing me wrong.

Him being smaller does not mean he should get away with being a bully. He started the fight, the bigger kid just finished it for him.

Yeah, Casey's method is pretty much how I dealt with bullies during my school days. I mean, not with the wrestling moves, but just smacking them around after I couldn't take it anymore...which literally took years, because I'm an extremely passive (Read: Pansy) guy.

Well, good for him. Honestly, it wouldn't have bothered me if the bully had gotten seriously injured, but I don't think Casey should have been held responsible for it if it had.

Middle school aged kids are monsters. Seriously. My friend's daughter (Who had a broken leg and was using crutches) was pushed down the stairs in middle school by a group of three girls. In front of one of the administrators. (Known because they had FREAKIN' CAMERAS) What happened? The girls and administrator walked off, just leaving my friend's daughter there.

Screw 'em all. Seriously.

Ahem.... FUCK YOU WOMAN! The world doesn't always work the way you want it to, and don't forget that YOUR kid was the little shit that was picking on others. Your kid doesn't deserve an apology, he doesn't deserve anything of the sort

So the mom teaches her child to blame the victim? Nice! I can see a bright future for him in the penitentiary system where he can spend time blaming everybody else for his actions.

Winning!
Both of you need to reread the final paragraph. The mother of the bully wants her son to apologize. I also agree that there's no real reason to spread the video everywhere, but we both know nothing's going to stop people from sharing it.
Actually the initial post clearly stated that the mom wanted Casey to apologize to her son. Later on it was edited to what it currently reads as.

Anyhoo... That little punk got what was coming to him and everything else is just so much fluff. I would not be surprised in the slightest if the guy that shot the video did so originally at the behest of the bully and even if that turns out to be incorrect that boy STILL got what was coming to him. Internet infamy or not.

To cluck our tongues at the victim and complain that HE was the one that took it too far is just plain silliness. The way I see it his response was measured. After slamming the bully down he simply walks away instead of really measuring out some punishment.

Also, from what I saw it doesn't look like the victim went "I'm gonna choke slam this little *****!". It appears to me that the lift was a consequence of their relative positioning and not a part of some elaborate technique on his part. I think he simply found himself in a good position and he took advantage of it.

And I say good for him!

I just hope people aren't dick heads to Casey now.

I mean, he got in a great hit, good on him, but it seemed like a one off thing. This could go both ways from here.
Either everyone starts being nicer to him, or this will just make things worse.
Maybe that one kid won't try anything again, and maybe future bullies will be more ready to bolt for it if he makes a move, but it could still end up worse than before.

This doesn't seem like a normal reaction from Casey, he probably wouldn't keep up a tough bravado attitude afterwards, and so could fall back into a bullied position quite easily.

I'm so glad that as a modern society we celebrate acts of violence rather than being, you know, civilized.

I really don't get why this has garnered so much attention though. Not the first time something like this has happened.

EDIT: Stop quoting me you're all saying the same thing over and over again and I'm sick of responding to it. Agree to disagree and all the jazz.
Well as many of the internet's children have been bullied or know someone who was bullied we tend to like it when a bully gets their ass handed to them.

While I was never bullied I know others who were, hell even in college I stood up for others who were being bullied.

Nor will this be the last time as bullies will continue to do their thing and some will choose the wrong target.

You asked me not to so obviously i had to do it.

Good for Casey. Always fight back, no matter the situation.

Honestly, this could have been avoided if teachers actually gave a shit about their students.
