Okay so food is food right? You eat it to make energy and provide nutrients to your body and blah blah blah.

But there are some food (or drinks) that are heavily designed for and aimed at children. Anything from cereals such as Lucky Charms and Trix to lunchables and fruit roll-ups.

So recently after rediscovering my love of Goldfish crackers I got to thinking about tasty "kid" food and what everyone might still be eating into their teens, twenties or further that they probably should have stopped eating a decade ago.

For me it's pizza rolls. Damn I love a good pizza roll, though for the life of me I can't seem to get hold of a box of just regular sausage pizza rolls to save my life.

Wait, pizza rolls are considered kid's food?

Shit, I always keep some in the freezer just in case I'm not that hungry but I want to eat something. Goes great with beer. :D

For me it's Lucky Charms. I fully realize I'm in my late 20s, but I'll cut a ***** if they try to take me Lucky Charms away from me, and tell me I should stop eating them because there are "adult cereals". I would probably eat them if they didn't taste like garbage.

I had a load of those huge rainbow sherbet tube things the other day, I felt like shit for hours but they were awesome, except the blue stuff. Fuck the blue sherbet.

Pick'n'mix.

Everytime I go shopping I get a big bag of pick'n'mix because I love me some sweets.

"Kid's food"? Fuck that. I eat what I want, *****. (please note that I am not calling the TC a *****)

If I want a sugary cereal, I'm eating a sugary cereal. If I want candy, I'm eating some candy. If I want some Hi-C in the little boxes, I'm getting some Hi-C in the little boxes.

If I want some chocolate milk, I'm drinking some goddamn chocolate milk.

I suppose I could say that I don't eat lunchables or fruit roll-ups anymore, but not because they're "kids food". It's because they're expensive, and they're not particularly great.

And I don't see how pizza rolls are kids food. They're stoner food, if anything.

Damn straight I know my rights, I have the right to eat string cheese whenever I want... like right now! (I seriously am eating string cheese as I type these words)

I pretty much use Lunchables as MREs when I've got nothing else to eat. Generally good food for what it's worth. Kinda wish they didn't downsize the cheese blocks though (DAMN YOU KRAFT FOODS!). I love the cheese that comes in those for some reason.

Cereal is awesome, especially on lazy days where all you want to do is watch videos all say.

I almost said mac n cheese, but I wasn't sure if that's considered kiddie food or not.

Love that stuff too, and it's great with hot sauce. :D

Yeah pizza rolls are probably stoner food (though I myself am not a stoner) but in the commercial the annoying whiners going "we're starving!" to their mom over the phone, to stupid to look to the left of the freezer are thirteen at best. So while it doesn't have to be a kid's food, it is aimed at kids for the most part.

I have chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs. LIKE DINOSAURS! These are seriously the best "lazy dinner" ever.

Also, I love chocolate milk to this day.

Thank you. People call me childish for drinking flavoured milk. I'd rather have me some chocolate milk than that horrible coffee.

As for me, I still enjoy my Kinder Surprises.

I don't care for the toys inside, but they're great for nostalgia.

Oh, so THAT'S a Kinder Surprise. I remember Yahtzee mentioning them, but I had no idea what he was talking about. I assume it's a chocolate egg with a toy inside, right?

We don't have those in the States... or at least, not in Florida.

Also, internet high-five for loving chocolate milk and hating coffee.

Of course, I forgot that it's an Aussie and Kiwi thing, as well as Germany, I think. They're basically chocolate eggs, except on the inside they also have a small layer of white chocolate as well.

Anyway, they've always been associated with kids because of the toy novelty, but the chocolate itself is far too good to leave to childhood alone. That, and they aren't restricted to Easter only, so you can have your chocolate egg fix all year 'round.

Is peanut butter considered a "kiddy" food? It doesn't quite seem like it, but few of the adults I know eat it, and I often see kids eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Oh well, I'll just say peanut butter anyway, seeing as it's one of my favorite foods in general.

As for food that's marketed a little more directly towards kids, I love Dum-Dums lollipops. If only they hadn't discontinued the coconut flavor :(

It's not really "still love" seeing as it's a new product, but those fruit puree things for toddlers they've recently started selling are pretty damn tasty.

Yeah, they're banned in the States. The government seems to think you'll choke on the toy.

I think it is widespread through europe. We have those in the netherlands as well (also some cheap imitations as well).

I ate them once in a while at were i used to work (supermarket so also easy to get) I also just but the toy together out of boredom and most of the time just placed them somewhere. That is until someone got fed up with those things and tossed them away. A friend of mine (24) has a slight addiction to the kinder chocolat minibars.
