Sour patch kids or gummy worms or whatever, I love it. I started going to a new grocery store recently that has the entire line of Haribo gummy stuff hanging by the registers. It's a dangerous situation.
I'd say that they are better than good - great even.ForgottenPr0digy said:Frosted Flakes because they taste good and I also have a crush on tony the tiger.
I don't know about that. My brother brought some over from Germany a few years back, and I'm fairly certain I saw them once in a Key Food in Queens. Also, I think my brother got his wife a plastic egg dude full of those eggs once.RandV80 said:We get Kinder Surprises here in Canada too, the reason you've never heard of them is because your country is blinded by corporate greeeeed!!!Screamarie said:I am very much an American who has never heard of a kinder surprise...please explain this wonderous thing...it looks fun.Volan said:Thank you. People call me childish for drinking flavoured milk. As for me, I still enjoy my Kinder Surprises.

I don't care for the toys inside, but they're great for nostalgia.
No seriously, this shit will get confiscated if you try to take them across the border. I suspect big American chocolate companies like Hershey have something to do with it through political lobbies, but Kinder Eggs have been deemed a health risk/choking hazard by your feds and are banned from the country.
Kids food? My Mum has that just about every day for lunch!uzo said:Worm Biscuits!
(Vita-Weets with marg & vegemite, squished hard together and the little vegemite wormies wriggle out!!)
Spot the Aussie, eh?
It's actually kind of a world-wide thing, we have them in Canada too (for as long as I can remember, I grew up eating them). The thing is they've been banned in the U.S because they think kids are retarded. Kinder marketed them as for being ages 3+ due to choking hazards (came right out and said it when they introduced the idea) and the U.S said no, they're hazardous to very young children! Thus ignoring the age restriction marketing and never bringing the wonderful Easter chocolate to the StatesVolan said:Screamarie said:I am very much an American who has never heard of a kinder surprise...please explain this wonderous thing...it looks fun.Of course, I forgot that it's an Aussie and Kiwi thing, as well as Germany, I think. They're basically chocolate eggs, except on the inside they also have a small layer of white chocolate as well.Leemaster777 said:Oh, so THAT'S a Kinder Surprise. I remember Yahtzee mentioning them, but I had no idea what he was talking about. I assume it's a chocolate egg with a toy inside, right?
We don't have those in the States... or at least, not in Florida.
Also, internet high-five for loving chocolate milk and hating coffee.

Anyway, they've always been associated with kids because of the toy novelty, but the chocolate itself is far too good to leave to childhood alone. That, and they aren't restricted to Easter only, so you can have your chocolate egg fix all year 'round.
