I'd go with Killing Floor, mainly because Magicka tends to be quite buggy and (a personal thing) runs like total ass on my PC for no reason at all.

Well the zombies wouldn't stand a chance against thous wizards, and if the killing floor guys got regular ammo drops they would probably do fine, until they had to fight a yeti, or actually Kan would probably do them in, if they managed to get past the battle mages and giant trolls with grenade launchers. Oh, I thought this was about who would win in a fight...

In that case go magicka, that game can be a hell of a lot of fun to play solo, but I only play killing floor with friends. Though if you have friends to play with, i recommend killing floor. Magicka is still a little rough around the edges when it comes to multilayer.

Having played both, I'm definitely leaning towards Magicka. There's nothing wrong with Killing Floor, it's a good game, but Magicka is just that much better.

I win the thread.
To contrast:

Killing Floor is much more action-horror orientated, and takes itself more seriously than Magicka. They're both very good games though, and it is worth getting both.
That person's terrible, AIM FOR THE HEAD@@ (I've been turned into a total efficient nazi with KF cause of my mates.)

I recommend Killing Floor personally. I've played Magicka and couldnt really get into it, plus Killing Floor is on sale at the moment. ;)

magicka, while killing floor is tons of fun as well, it is still "just a shooter" while magicka has this hilarious magic system where you can fry your friends just for the fun of it. Wiping my entire group has not been this fun since classic wow

I own both although I haven't touched Magicka yet. My biased opinion would be to roll with killing floor. For whatever reason, class based, zombie stomping never gets old. That and they keep releasing character packs and maps for it. (honestly I'd say check out youtube to get a feel for both).

Do u have friends that have magicka? if so get that, playing it with people you know just makes it 100 times better, with randoms and solo its fun but not as much. If u dont have people to play it with i say get killing floor, more fun solo and with just random internet people and great with friends to. Also if u get KF u can help portal 2 come out faster

I haven't play Killing Floor, so I can't give a recommendation.

I had a lot of fun playing Majicka singleplayer, although from what I've seen the multiplayer's buggy, hopefuly it's been patched by now. It's a solid buy for anyone who's familiar with Fantasy games.

The controls can be a bit difficult to get used to, however. If you're familiar with Portal and TF2, then Killing Floor'll have a better learning curve.

Personally, I'd save for a bit and get Portal 2.

magicka if you have friends who play it to play it with, and killing floor if you don't.

I love Killing Floor, lots of fun and variety, huge amounts of teamwork, and you will tank so much time into leveling up your perks. However, since the release of Killing Floor in early 2009 there's been four major updates, meaning updates are rare occassions.

Never played Magicka, but I put nearly 150 hours in Killing Floor.
