Damn, whats with Bruce Timm and the Batman/Batgirl ship? It was creepy as fuck in the DCAU and I assume it will be creepy here too. As if this story wasn't controversial enough....

First off way to spoil the fact that there is a sex scene in the movie AT ALL.

Secondly you don't even SEE the sex scene. All you see is a piece of Barbara's bra that's it and than it cuts away.

First of all, changed it, my bad.

Second of all, that's not the point. It's not that you see them doing it, its the fact that a guy is in a sexual relationship with A: his best friends daughter, B: his son's ex, C: a his apprentice. Its just creepy, at least to me. Not to mention what happens to her later in the story, which I never had a problem with, but some people take issue with.

I don't know, I don't really feel like TKJ needed this to get an R rating.

Then it adds a PG rating -and- something new that makes it fresh for people who already read that comic.

To be honest, though, I'm often of the idea that guys like Dini simply put their sexy fantasies in their work. Batman: The Animated Series has a lot of that, and didn't he invent Harley? It's a bit fanfiction-y to be honest.
Funny thing is Paul Dini is not even writing this movie.

Really? Relationship is to spoilery? Come on.
Yes anything be it a death or a relationship, just the mere mention of a plot element is a spoiler.

But anyway if you think this is controversial enough here's this:

In the story Joker Captures Commisionar Gordon, strips him naked (and in the comics you can see a bit of his junk) and the Joker forces him to watch pictures of his sevearly wounded daughter naked and in subjevtive poses on the ground and all this for Joker to try to drive Gordon completely insane so this whole thing with Batman x Barbara having a thing is small potatoes to me

Eh, I disagree in the spoileryness of the title.

Yes, I'm very familiar with the book. I don't find that objectionable because those are the actions of the villain, not the hero.

Haha, you make a good point.
And I see you caved in with the title ;)

Sigh goddman people are treating this movie as awful already.

This year was meant to be my year.

BvS (EVERYONE BUT ME HATES IT)
Warhammer Total War (Good game but I am saddened that not many people are talking about)
Warcraft movie (dissipointing, it needed to be better)
World of Warcraft Legion (People on the WOW forums complaining like petulent children)
Now Batman the Killing Joke

And I swear to you everyone is gonna ***** about the new direction for Samurai Jack being darker, violent, and grim.

Because Samurai Jack was about colors and rainbows and comedy :p

Yeah I always get him confused with Timm.

One's the good author, the other one's the perv. I guess Timm's the perv then...
Or Brian Arrazello.

But I am sort of split on this sex scene thing because on one hand Batgirl in this film is techincally of age (She's looks to be 25 at least) and its not unheard of that a young person is in love with an older person, just ask Clint Eastwood.

But on the other hand its Barbara so its gonna make some complication with her father Gordon.
